Re: Xigmatek 500W ATX PSU went POP and stopped working
I have seen that same green crystaline glue dawbed all over the leads of PSU fets and rectifier packs before. Usually to hold down ferrite beads. i have not as yet seen any conductivity issues with it. But you never know. BEWARE of that yellow glue that turns brown/black, that is conductive....

Re: Open Neutral you say? A story of carnage at Gooontrons house.
Exactly as I stated above. The electrical meter is the switch ( disconnect point by phyiscally pulling it out of the circuit). That action of pulling the meter prevents you from receiving power.
In Goontrons case Rv"s would have (or should have) a metal switch box with a lockable throw switch to connect power to his service entrance RV or trailer....

Re: Open Neutral you say? A story of carnage at Gooontrons house.
I fully understand what he means. Their should never be a unconnectable live circuit between the power source and the building power entrance. Power source> Service head> Meter (disconnect)> Service panel (main breakers)> then individual line circuit breakers. In that order. Any thing else is illegal....

Re: Is this really LMP silver solder?
Trying to get anything across to you is fruitless. I give up. Go live in your fantasy world. Anyone that has more age on you is wasted. Fuck you and the horse you road in on.

Re: Is this really LMP silver solder?
Silver conducts electricity better than any of the metals you mentioned.
Silver Oxide is conductive to electricity....

Re: Is this really LMP silver solder?
The reason why you would use solder with a silver content on silver plated contacts is prevent leaching of the silver plating into the solder mix....

Re: X-Force 200 "Power Supply"
2KW 12VDC would do about 1.5KW output power from a linear rf amp. Think CB amp. Any SB box with a booster could drive the linear to full output....

Check for continuity of the tube filament; could be open.

Re: IPIBL-LB loses BIOS settings after power off
Another thing to try if you have a seperate chip programmer, reflash the bios chip, that will clear it out for sure. Or buy another chip with the bios preprogramed.
I had a Epox motherboard that would stop posting with a C1 error and could not flash on board so took it out and reflashed in programmer now works fine.

Re: IPIBL-LB loses BIOS settings after power off
Do you use the same HDD for Windows 7 and XP?
When you install the OS are you connected to the internet via a firewall?
Have you zero filled (wiped clean) the HDD before installing OS?
Have you scanned your installation and update media for rootkits?
Trying to narrow down if hardware or software problem
Your PSU has not been ruled out nor has the CPU as yet.

Found this, might help getting into the advanced BIOS settings menu.
If your CPU fan is turning below a certain RPM or stalls at some point in the boot process the BIOS CPU protection sensors maybe shutting you down. In that case you need to disable CPU FAN MONITOR DETECTION.Re: IPIBL-LB loses BIOS settings aft...mputers/[/url]
