Samxon GA

Samxon GA serie of caps is there! Hoooray!
I finally (damn Topcat had them far sooner, damn customs and slow post in my side ) finally got these caps to test them out. So, let's check the first testing batch of very likely best electrolyte caps in the world:

    Different font used...

And yes, it IS a GA

Typical bottom of testing production series

They are ATM only 30 of them in the whole world, but if they turn out to be good, then they will start mass production. And one gotta admit that the Nichicon HZ line got owned, look, the best of these has just 6.06 miliohms! Ooooh!

Now let's see how much do they degrade in time - if more that other hi-end caps brands types, even only the HZ line come close to THAT

I've got a few of those to experiment with as well. The results should be interesting to say the least, they spec out good on paper. I hope their real-world performance is as impressive!

Again, my thanks to Big Pope for sending me these samples!

          Re: Samxon GA

From my experience, these bottom seals (bungs) are used for low-series production at Samxon. These d10 2200uF 16V Samxons GD have them as well - and no other caps from Samxon have them and since I did made some pictures for list of the Samxons for Big Pope, I have now a reasonably big pile of Samxons

The "public" GA ones in mass productions will have normal bungs taht Samxon, Panasonic, Rubycon, Nichicon and others using

And the final production line of GA caps are there

As you can see, font get back to Samxons normal:

            From both sides

And exactly as I said before, the testing rubber sealings are standard now:

And so far, I can't complain - if they won't work excelently, I will not be able to type these text

Mine are holding strong as well. I have them in a Shuttle MS50S007 P4 board, folding as we speak.

                Re: Samxon GA

Not too bad, they look similar to some of the Malaysian Panny FF, FJ, etc. that I've seen. Maybe Samxon is the OEM manufacturer of some of those Pannys - the font is a little grainy, and the gold/silver markings tend to smear, etc. Let's see - the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If these Samxons survive 2 years of continuous use, they can could give a serious fight to the big four Jap caps.

yeah, it will be good to have another option of good caps beside jap caps. those samxon caps on my systems (netcafe) is still running nice, though it's not pass 1 year yet. well joe i have to fully test it (1.5 years) till i confident enough to recommend or buy your caps in bulk

OK no laughing if this is too silly,
But what is a bung, and does it make a difference?

A bunge is the rubber seal at the bottom of the caps. It probably dosen`t mather, but it is a distinguishing mark to identify counterfeit byond other marks.

that is correct, what matters is that it is made from EPT or similar material which will not degrade and shrink with age. what design or colour it is does not really matter.

                              Thanks Topcat,
I don't feel so silly anymore. It does sound pretty strange, and not in my wildest thoughts did I realize that some company may use a low quality Bungs.
I've learned a great deal from you all, thank you.
