Re: Computer speakers
yes. i gave up on computer speakers years ago.
my computer connected via m-audio audiophile 192 card to 50w marantz amp which has 4 x B&W speakers in the corners of the room. its a 25m2 room and thats ok for now.
i am still investigating the next setup and at the moment it looks like it might be a 300w amp and some speakers perhaps from http://www.turbosound.com and also a dac.
then when i get a house like mikeys i will get a 15,000w system
i need this stuff to play tracks like this https://www.youtub...Leave a comment:

Re: multiple monitors
yes i think it cant be done mixing nvdia and ati.
i will get a new ati card with DVI,DVI, HDMI and use that for the desk 3 monitor setup with the relevant adapter cos i need one RGB. that will be one display
i will use the existing ati to connect the lcd tv via hdmi which is only for showing stuff when people visit. so that will duplicate.
i will need another 2 monitor arms. maybe i will upgrade the monitors later but at the moment i will use existing stuff.
this will be very cool. i need it to have documents...Leave a comment:

multiple monitors
i am trying to set up a multiple monitor system.
i am thinking its necessary to use two ATI cards rather than the main ATI and one NVDIA i am trying to use. is that correct?
i have one card main monitor and lcd tv
then i will add two monitors with the other card. -
Re: Wtf is this?
yes we have seen previously on this forum the chemical process occurring even in non powered storage. i would discard them all.Leave a comment:

Re: Intel to Exit Traditional Desktop Mainboards
maybe the retail stuff was overpriced but the oem stuff was cheap. great boards except for the nichicon HN problems which hit a lot of the range. just useless for overclockers.Leave a comment:

keyboards
i was using the microsoft comfort curve 3000 keyboards since about 2 years but i changed recently to microsoft wired keyboard 200 which takes slightly more effort to type but i make hardly any mistakes. i was making lots of mistakes with the comfort curve. its funny cos this keyboard is the cheapest one. i am really happy to have found this. -
Re: Inverters - 12volt to mains power 240v
yeah thats more efficient solution.
is this for car or boat? you can get DC/DC Converter laptop adapters that plug direct into a 12v cigarette lighter. http://www.powerstream.com/ADC-HP.htmLeave a comment:

Re: Surge Supression
the usual problem is when there is power cut. the power comes back on strong. this can damage items with bullshit power supplies like dvd players for instance. i have seen this a few times so surge suppression is important.Leave a comment:
