Yes, the purple polymers are also X-CON from Man Yue. It is because custom made for some hardwares factory.
I know the some factories complained that the original "pink" is not stable pink grade for the same pink in the whole lot of polymers, Man Yue said pink is different to control same "pink". By this reason, Man Yue chnage the marking color in some lot of batch in te past.
I saw X-CON in pink, red, purple and blue in the past. Most of color is pink, then red....... -

Yes, it is X-CON ULG or ULR, can't sure. However, i can surely it is X-CON polymers.
Why there is no marking "ULR" or "ULG"? The reason is these mainboard factories in mainland China custom requested Man Yue don't print "ULG" or "ULR" markings n caps and request to change the color of "red" a bit different. I don't know real comerical reasons.
However, i think that they think X-CON or "ULR" is not famous as Japanese brand. So decide ro remove the marking...Leave a comment:

It is 50% true. They meant all the ultra low esr series (GD/GC/GA) would be chnaged to polymers (X-CON), not all the electrolytic capacitors.
It is because they think ultra low esr caps will be double range lines if eletrolytic and polymers produce togeter in factory....Leave a comment:

Sure not!!
As i know, many many old stock famous brand caps are aged or bad batches in mainland China. There is no realiable sourcing there.

I just fixed a Antec SP 400 and a SP 450 this week.
the main filter caps are 4700uF 16V D10mm, 2200uF 10V, 1000uF 10V.....
You can use [color=blue]3300uF 16V D10mm Samxon RS[/color] or [color=blue]2200uF 16V D10mm GD/GT [/color][color=black]to fixed the size problem of 16V rail.[/color]
I have repaced all caps, most of original are[color=black] Fuhjyyu and seomtimes mixed with Teapo, surely both big can caps are Fuhiyyu....

Thank you the comments for Samxon GL or GF from all the above guys.
Recently two years, i have tested Samxon GT in iMac/Power Mac G5's PSU, it is ultra long life and low impedance, reliable replacement for very hot parts, like power supply, LCD monitors or some hardwares which less space for heat loss. I recommand Samxon GT and RS.
Now just wait for the reply from chaschap and send him Samxon GT or RS for replacement the bad caps.Leave a comment:
