Exact issue and symptoms as timmy. If you still need help (or anyone else) let me know. I was able to get my TV going for zero dollars. Can post pics if need be....Comment

Hi timmy, your gonna thank me at the simplicity of this. Cut the wire jumper protect3 on the inverter board (see pic I attached). No worries, if you ever need to reconnect you can simply solder the gap. After cutting the tv should power on and stay on. There is an error in the protection circuit. Thank you thank you thank you. I know it's not the right way but as long as it doesn't catch fire it's all good. I was going to use it for target practice this weekend. But I will have to find something else to shoot at. Thanks again big ups to you

I've seen this done on other brands too, I bet this would fix a whole lot of tvs, don't know if it's a design flaw or if the jumper is really doing anything, anyone know exactly what it's suppose to do?Comment

It is not design flaw, it bypass safety shutdown circuit. Do it at your own risk and never sell or give that TV away without putting the safety back in place.Last edited by budm; 02-02-2015, 11:52 PM.Never stop learning

I stopped jumpering the protect circuits on TVs after I got a melted transformer on a 15" LCD. I imagine much worse could happen with bigger TV/transformer.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Im hoping someone might be able to give me some idea of what may be wrong with my Monitor Audio RSW12 Sub.
Ive owned it since new in around 2002, so would really like to keep it running if I can, it was the first ‘decent' bit of audio equipment I ever purchased and is a little sentimental.
The issue I had was that it would power up with the red light, but sometimes the green light would not come on and I would get no bass from it. If the green light did come on though, I would get sound out of it.

I have an 820-2610-A motherboard that has no green light.
I have noticed is when I do a SMC reset the light on the Magsafe blinks.
From My understanding, the sys onewire circuit is responsible for the green light on the magsafe
The sys onewire circuit on this model and others is more involved
I was hoping if anyone knows about this and how it works, can reply and let me know

Hi,
I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. I have this 2011 MBP - the company I was working for, bought it at the time for a project and gave it to me after that. Later on, I gave it to my daughter which used it for normal internet browsing and office apps. At some point the, now famous, AMD GPU issue hit this laptop as well. I disabled the use of the AMD GPU following some information I found at the time (the one that, at the end, one moved AMD kext drivers to a backup location). So the laptop was using the CPU graphics and it was ok for the said daily usage. I even replaced the drive with an SSD one and it was operating...
