    HP Elitebook 850 G8 CAPS lock flashes 7 times and charging light always on

    Hi,
    I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. Note: the charging light directly comes on when the battery is connected or the charger is connected.

      I am trying to repair a Lenovo C940-15IRH that has a "Corrupted Bios" according to the previous owner. ( I do not have contact from the owner, it was labeled with tape on the laptop). At the moment here are my current observations. Please let me know if any more information is needed.

      PROBLEM-WHEN I PLUG THE CHARGER WITHOUT BATTERY THE CHARGING LIGHT BLINKS AND WHEN I PRESS POWER BUTTON THE CHARGING LIGHT STOPS BLINKING AND STAYS ON BUT THE POWER LIGHT DOESNT TURN ON AND LAPTOP ALSO DOESNT TURN ON NO FAN SPINS NO KEYBOARD LIGHT.

      CHECKED- ON S5 STATE TGE LAPTOP HAS 5V ON USB 3.3V BUT I DIDNT GET 1.8VOLTS ON BIOS PIN NO 8 WHILE PLUGGED IN AND EVEN ON S5 STATE.

      GUIDE ME WITH THE PROBLEM..

      SUMMARY-

      Hello Everyone!

      I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died.      ...

      Hello All,

      I searched for this Make / Model and did not find an existing thread, however, there were similar threads that were informative.

      In regards to: HP Envy 15t-as100 6050A2857201

      This laptop did power on a couple times, but the video output was jittery / jumpy. At some point, it stopped powering on, with only the charging indicator lighting up. I am able to hold the power button pressed for 30 seconds or so and see the charging indicator cycle (off and then back on again). The battery is drained and likely locked; I doubt it is charging. These observations...

      Hp x360 15-u499nr power light flashes continuously.

      I have an Hp x360 15-u499nr laptop with a continuous white blinking power light. The laptop does turn on. The light flashes with just the battery and if I disconnect the battery and just use the power cord it still flashes and with both connected it still does. I have updated the bios and tried a hard reset with battery unplugged and power cord unplugged and holding down the power button for 60 seconds. I can't think of what else to try.
