If you still had it out you could have tested the resistance of the holes it goes in. Guess you can test that with it in there.Comment

So if everything else checks out then the pfc IC must have been damaged, which is likely to to happen in a case like this where that particular shit that blew up on your board and pretty much everything else has been tested. Guess you should look hard at that, thoroughly test it if you can.Comment

Maybe check youtube, if you look hard enough, you can find some good videos that tell you what to check and what drives what etc. A picture is worth a thousand words and a video is worth a million words imo.Comment

when you shot the picture of board? Under i see glue still all around QP802, but i see scratched glue around QP801, furthermore 801 & 802 are in a separate circuit not as usual, so i expect another low value resistor on the source of QP801, i don't see well with the glue.. another thing is that you have no stby voltage, but i see not where you say you've tested all big diodes on heatsink (DM85x..)... to be clear, the standby voltage is 7,5v and rises to 12.5 when activated.. where do you measure the output? under, with maybe a little film of glue ? or on the pins? you can measure on the center pin of the 4 TO220 diodes, components side (eye to slipping probe!)Comment

I've attached cleaned up pictures.
I tested all diodes and MOSFETs on the board and all are good, still no standby voltage.

Yes, it was shorted D to S. Where is the shunt resistor? Is it on the underside of the board, or under the heatsink?Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by sam_sam_samI did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow
This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

• Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
• Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
• Have read ALL applicable threads
• C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
• CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.
