Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

I guess the main question is: how likely is it that the two models have the same or compatible LCD panels? I imagine Samsung might not change their panels that much within a year.

Facets of that question could be, but are not limited to:

    - Has anyone here done something similar?
    - Do manufacturers change the signalling between the logic board and panel regularly enough to cause concern?
    - Do they treat the flat cables as just a bunch of wires, with no pinout consistency between models (seems unlikely)?
    - Would something likely fry if I try it naively? (Regarding LCD and logic board communication specifically — backlight is best handled separately*)
    - What would be a possible way to increase the confidence of success/failure? (E.g. inspecting certain ICs?)

If you have some experience with Samsung TVs I'd be grateful for insights and input. Good or bad idea?

I think the RU panel is bn96-39045d (written on it at least), and the NU panel is one of the two expensive items (not sure which) on https://www.samparts.eu/en/samsung/t...ch/ue55nu7096u

    ---

    * Regarding the power board there would be two concerns (pin out and voltages for backlight and logic board), but I think that's best left until there's an established possibility that the logic board could drive the LCD. Nevertheless the photos of the power supplies are attached as well.

What are both full panel numbers of the tvs? usually found on back chassis on a sticker, good place to start.

Thanks for the suggestion. Now, there are three stickers on the chassis alone, of e.g. the RU (see attached images). How do I know which number refers to what? I never figured that out in my first repair, and I don't know the format of full panel numbers.

since its NU series i would let the new one at moment PSU / BL as spare parts for the old one in case
second to full your wishes with more HDMI, you can use external HDMI extender
wifi / BT you can use the new one just you need to figure out the wiring to passed on the old one...all firmware had the option of BT to enable or disable via User setting or Service menu.

Very little chance it will work.

Thanks for your input. At this point it sounds as if it's not an idea worth pursuing. Too bad! Would've been a fun project if the chances were higher.

Regarding full panel numbers, I wasn't trying to avoid posting them, but since I don't know how to properly identify the numbers I was unable to determine whether I already had old photos of them or whether I had to open up the working set (undesirable) just to get at them.
