    Sharp LC-60LE810UN

I was just given this set because it had been reported irreparable. So of course being a DIY'er I want to repair it! I have read a couple of threads dealing with this set, and have already tried the error code reset using the vol- and ch+ while plugging set in, I have also tried input, vol- and ch+ but neither of those techniques work for me. The problem I have is the short blink, long blink error. I am fully prepared to take this set apart to the barebones and attempt to test the led's contained within. But I need help doing this, what do i need to test with? Will this do:

and if so is there a tutorial of how to connect it to the led strips?

error code is 1-1 tv doesnt power on. I have taken apart all the way down to the screen and have tested the LED's found the bad one and removed it. Now is there a diode i need to replace it with? or an original led available somewhere?

I work on led last. Check to see if you have 5vdc standby. Then jumper p.s. on with a 500 to 1000 ohm resistor. Jump the 5vdc to PS_on. Do you get any voltages? Do you get a backlight? If you can jump p.s. on and backlight. Most likely it's a main board problem.

Check dc across the larger main filter capacitors. Should be about 390vdc. If only 10 vdc power supply is not turning on or has a PIC problem

Since he has a blinking LED error code, he has standby voltage.

Ok no one answered my question. What should I do to replace the bad led? Do I bridge led location 1 with led location 3 because the polarity is the same? Do I replace led with diode? What do I do at this point? I would like to get the screen back together and out of the way. Lets just assume main and power board are good.

If you are unable to get a replacement LED_-then jump it with a 1N4004 or so diode--to take up the drop in the series string. Make SURE of proper polarity--and put the anode of the diode--on the positive side of the string's supply line. If all other LED's work ok after that is is NOT likely--the missing LED will be noticed much--if at all.

I MAY have one just like to do--with the same problem--myself. How hard was it--to disassemble this panel, and are the LED strips accessible--without pulling the panel out of the shell--such as are they along the edge of the panel--or are they behind it?

Dis-assembly wasn't bad. Just have to remember where everything goes. I kept screws for the screen totally separate from all others, and made sure I kept a log of where things came from and where they go back. Are you saying that with diode in place that it is unlikely the rest of the led's will work. OR are you saying with diode in place that it is likely I will not have anymore problems out of the LED's?

Also from what I have read here, I calculate that every led takes about 3.??? volts. The diode you suggested is only 1.1v will this be ok? Also does anyone know where I can get one of these from in the states. I found the smd kind on ebay but nowhere in the states. I checked digikey and mats and found nothing.

You will need at least 4 or 5 1N4xxxx connected in series to simulate white LED Vf of about 3~4V range.
The diode will get quite warm to touch so I would do it for testing only.

With one or maybe 3 diodes in series--to drop the required voltage--IF the other LED's are ok--then it should then work ok.

Once again--are the LED's behind the panel--or on the outer edge of it?

                                      Hi,

I was just curious if you had any update on the Digikey led.
Did it work as a replacement?
There is a 70" Sharp at the local recycler that has the same screen issue and most likely has bad edge leds.

                                      Thanks,
                                      Mike

thats a generic 3535 mid power at 7500-8000k.
the one you linked may or may not fit the pads.color temp will be pure white on the one you linked.7500+ k will look strongly to the bluish-purplish side.and it may or may not be noticeable for one led being off tint.but if it sits right on the pads it will work.

I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

SHARP LC-70UC30U starts up with RESET then turn off and blink 1 LONG 1 SHORT
                                          by Mitike
                                          Hello guys,

I have SHARP LC-70UC30U which won't turn on and the stand by LED blinks the 1 LONG 1 SHORT error
According to other sharp SM-s it is lamp error (I can't find SM for this model)
And yes I checked other blink error threads on the forum about other Sharp models and still can't make it work.

If I unplug the set and hold the POWER and INPUT buttons while I'm plug it back the set fires up and shows sharp logo and after that the Android logo and turn itself off again and starts the blinking and wont turn on again except if I do the RESET procedure again....

                                          Sharp LC-80LE632U 2-5 blink code
                                          by SdlewisSr
I have a Sharp LC-80LE632U with a 2-5 blink code. I have narrowed it down to the T-Con/Panel. I get the error if both or either ribbon cable is connected between the T-Con and the Panel. If I disconnect both ribbon cables, I get no error and the TV powers up just fine.
Does anyone know if this is a definite bad Panel or is there a chance that the T-Con could still be at fault?

hi, new member her and apologize if this has been discussed.. tried to search and most of the result are for LC-xxLe6xx series and not sure if it's applicable to the 745U.

the TV stopped turning on and after the V logo stayed solid for a minute or 2, it gives the 3 slow and 1 fast blinks which from what I researched are internal communication error.

did some voltage measurement on the power supply out.
                                          Pin 1 and 2 = 0V --> PNL 12V
