Re: LG 50UH5530/5500 backlights test good with LED tester....BUT!
I always tell people to turn the backlights down to 75-80% to prevent led failure.

Re: LG 70LB7100 no backlight after 2-5 min
As a general rule, NEVER run the backlights at 100% I set mine at 75, MAX of 80%. set it around 70% and it may work fine for a while. ( my 65" lasted 2 years till I found a new LED strip.

Re: Curtis LCD, Could i use this Cap for this cap? Please help.
If you are near farmer's branch, go to tanner's electronics. They have lots of caps, including panasonic, at reasonable prices. Somewhere on this site there is a list of good caps. find it and take it with you.. 25 V are ok, but 16V may fit better if they don't have the 10V.

12V across the fuse? or do you mean 12V at both ends?

Vizio XVT423SV
I have just installed a Main board, and it cured the sound problem. On this set you have to pair the remote to the set. I cannot get to the menu to reset to factory defaults. I have another Vizio remote and a programable remote, but menu sends me to the internet apps. Anyone have any ideas? maybe a jumper??

Re: Samsung le40b750
Post pictures of the boards. There were some sets where cutting a jumper fixed the problem.

Re: What causes this? Sharp lc50lb370u
Looks to me like it was the source, not the TV.

Re: Vizio m3d550kde no jingle but vertical lines on screen
Do the lines move around? Does it change when the menu is displayed? If so you may have a bad main board. Usually a regulator on a Vizio. That would explain no audio. Had a Sony with lines like that that moved around and a Main board fixed it.

Re: Panasonic 48" LED TV, backlight on but no picture
Check for voltage on both sides of the TCON fuse. It should be near one of the connectors
going to the main board. If you send a clear picture of the TCON board we should be able to point it out. (it's the one at the bottom of your picture) There should be 12V or 5V on both sides of the fuse. Some nay not have a fuse though.

Re: 40" Element LCD ELGFT401 Picture Issues
You really need the 35v cap there, It has at least 24 volts across it. Don't get your caps from Fry's unless you know they have low ESR, a brand like Panasonic FM or FC series. I get mine from digikey.
That 16V cap is probably leaking and putting noise on the line due to the over voltage on it. Rat Shack caps are crap for this type of operation.

Re: SAMSUNG UN46D6420UFXZA bad t-con
The fuse is the white rectangle with the gold ends above the bottom conector. You should read the same voltage to chassis ground at both ends, If there isn't any voltage it's either a bad mainbord or the cable.
