  • Re: Sharp LC-60LE810UN

Ok here is the summation of everything I have done.
    1. Tested all and Replaced burned out led on led strip
    2. Replaced PSU
    3. Replaced Mainboard
    4. Tried button reset combination
    5. I have 5v BU5v (pin 11)

    but...
I still have 1-1 flash code. Should I give up and throw this set away? Im thinking maybe the led strips are bad even though I have tested each one manually. Help?!?

DKEYMF452FM11 is the part number and I was able to find one on ebay just recently. Once I get it I will report back with results. Does anyone know if maybe the t-con board could also be responsible for these problems?

Ok sorry for the mis-understanding, I have ordered another power supply and replaced it. Same problem 1 long and 1 short inverted "v". Im assuming I should replace the Main Board now but have no luck finding it in stock anywhere. Is there a component set available to repair the Main Board?

How do you know it isnt a combination of the LED and the power supply? Power supply was replaced the very first time I looked at this set and it still didnt power on. So after going further and researching I discovered it may be a LED at fault. Which I found a bad one right next to the connection like many have said in these forums. I have replaced this LED and am still getting an error code.

So since I have no 5v stdby should I assume it is the power supply? Seems like this is the mostly likely problem because standby is supposed...

I have removed vol, ch, and input board from chassis to ensure that I am making contact with buttons. Reset code still doesnt work. Also Im not getting any standby voltage. Shouldnt I at least get 5v standby? Can anyone help?

Ok thanks for the help. But I would also like to test the led drivers. Can you walk me through testing them?

alright LED is in place and sitting right on the pads, polarity is correct, and led lights when I test it in diode check. But tv still doesnt power up. I tried the reset procedure forwards and backwards but still a no go. Any ideas anyone?

Also from what I have read here, I calculate that every led takes about 3.??? volts. The diode you suggested is only 1.1v will this be ok? Also does anyone know where I can get one of these from in the states. I found the smd kind on ebay but nowhere in the states. I checked digikey and mats and found nothing.

Dis-assembly wasn't bad. Just have to remember where everything goes. I kept screws for the screen totally separate from all others, and made sure I kept a log of where things came from and where they go back. Are you saying that with diode in place that it is unlikely the rest of the led's will work. OR are you saying with diode in place that it is likely I will not have anymore problems out of the LED's?

Ok no one answered my question. What should I do to replace the bad led? Do I bridge led location 1 with led location 3 because the polarity is the same? Do I replace led with diode? What do I do at this point? I would like to get the screen back together and out of the way. Lets just assume main and power board are good.

error code is 1-1 tv doesnt power on. I have taken apart all the way down to the screen and have tested the LED's found the bad one and removed it. Now is there a diode i need to replace it with? or an original led available somewhere?...

OK I have followed the previous threads dealing with this set. I have found the offending led and have removed it. Underneath I have found two pads. What now? Does anyone know the part numbers of the led's used?...

I was just given this set because it had been reported irreparable. So of course being a DIY'er I want to repair it! I have read a couple of threads dealing with this set, and have already tried the error code reset using the vol- and ch+ while plugging set in, I have also tried input, vol- and ch+ but neither of those techniques work for me. The problem I have is the short blink, long blink error. I am fully prepared to take this set apart to the barebones and attempt to test the led's contained within. But I need help doing this, what do i need to test with? Will this do:

Did this get sorted out? I also have the LC-60LE810UN with the dreaded one long one short code. When I try the volume- and ch+ combo it doesnt do anything for me. I have the service manual and it doesnt say anything about how to reset error codes. Do I need to get this:

so that I may continue on trying to repair this set?Re: Test LED TV strip
