Sony XBR-75X800G - Android start up only and dark blue screen

Hello all. Sony XBR-75X800G - Android start up only and dark blue screen. Back lighting works. Music just repeats itself. Remote has limited function. Ive search for model # here but I did not find anything. Thinking its T-con but I dont have what type of numbers Im to have when reading on a MM. Any help would be great. TV is 5 years old. Thanks

Oh thanks nomoresonys appreciate the fast response. I dont see my model number in his video breakdown. Can I assume that a similiar model XBR-75X850F will have the same voltage readings Im looking for?

I believe he said it's from about 2015-2020 models, I think yours is around 2019 so I'm thinking it should be pretty similar, F is probably 2018.

why are you speaking of tcon? is there an android logo right? So software seems stuck, don't waste time probing around, have you ever resoldered an emmc or ram chip? In this like many others my bet is bad bga chips, ram and/or emmc and eventually subsequent memory data error, i'm not a master in these sit. but without memory dump an attempt could be resoldering emmc then try recovery mode and/or usb update, but ram suspect is been left back so.. to better understand the first move could be freeze all ram chips and fire start tv, if no go freeze emmc and retry.. good luck

PS: have u got thermo camera?

Davi.p no logo at all, just complete dark blue screen with soft music playing. No thermo camera on hand. Have access to one thru the week though.

what you mean: "android startup only..."? With Music repeat you mean startup jingle i guess, so the discourse does not change, have to follow for bad ram or emmc or data

Davi.p yes, after ready much info, the soft music I can only hear is what I believe to be the Android start up sounds. And as it plays for a little while, it comes to an end, then there is a moment of silence, then the jingle repeats itself. That is getting over my head ( follow for bad ram or emmc or data ), because I wouldnt even know where to start to look for said items and Im sure its a cheaper way to fix the tv, but if its easier and less time consuming to replace a board, Id rather go that route.

Also, if this helps in any way, when I turn on the TV, the optical port light comes on and all 3 of the USB ports have power.

EDIT: Also the fuse on the T-com has continuity.

No bruh, Im not saying you are wrong in any manner. I just dont know if i have the capabilities to be removing bad ram or emmc or data pieces. It would be easier for me to know if it was the main board or T-com itself and just pay the extra and get a good known working board.

Well Nick IS a "Master" if he says probe and check, then definitely probe and check, THAT is how you narrow down to get to the issue, sonys are 1 of the hardest tvs to diagnose, nick has done a thousand, anyone else here done that many? he don't have to guess. Anyone here to "learn" should learn from an expert like Nick and save the guessing.

its much likely Main Boards... but because you have dark blue picture, you need to testing the screen as standalone, if every things went correct then replacing MB.. you will not able to repair the boards. as its just ONE Soc ,
to do screen standalone test ..
                            disconnect the MB from PSU
disconnect the LVDS between T-CON & MB from T-con side
on the socket of the PSU, you need to jumper
Pin 5 STBY_3.3V to PIN 9 Power_ON & pin 7 BL_ON & pin 26 T-CON_ON check the pins No. you have print chart on the boards... it may my memories went weak

take 12V from the pin 25 T-CON VCC and put it on the F fuse on the T-con
put it in wall and check what you will have on the screen..

Note if you are not sure by pins name or No... use 1KR when you do the jumpers to avoid any damage to PSU in case you did wrong at pins order

Note 2 you can do hard reset from plug it out from wall . press joystick and push down then plug in wall leave the push only when the front LED change from white to green

Tv is around 5 years old, lots of sony emmc's die around this age, what seems like a pretty straight forward easy test is test voltages of the mlc caps around the emmc, if you have the usual 1.8 and 3.3 volts then more than likely the emmc chip IS bad. Maybe others here that know the procedure can verify.

thats true about eMMC, speically this set which its from SK Hynix..but he had sound and dark blue screen... it mean eMMC data are fine but the GPU of the Soc tBGA or other reason... testing T-CON and screen standalone are the way we do start.in such issue.

Do you know which sound is the determiner, with one of mine that I didn't think was worth the mainboard investment, I had the sony android startup music and was thinking emmc was dead, do you think that was correct?

there are 2 sounds, one start melody which can be turn off from user setting, the second one melody will start after hard reset as i mentioned early.. after choice at first install the language and land will stop

It wasn't the familiar little start melody, it was the ocean like sounding of the andriod i believe.
