    Re: e420vse no standby light

Please excuse this dumb question but how much of what kind of voltage does the leds on a E420VSE require?

sorry been busy working on other stuff im going up to install that power supply but im still confused why im not seeing any voltages on the 24v line but by using this other board there will be no bl on connected to turn the 24v on or shouldnt it be on without even plugged in to the driver board or likewise on a lcd with inverter or do I have 2 problems one being the driver board and being some where else not turning on the 24v the specs on this power board says minium 12v could I connect to a 12v spot on the board or try to get 24v to it thanks and im enjoying this the more and more I read

Not sure if this makes sense or not but why would a bad led driver board cause no standby light on tv. doesnt this sound like more of a mainboard issue(maybe a bad eeprom or something). not sure just throwing it out there.

I believe the front led power light power is routed through the led driver board there are no other wires going to where it is

just looked at the pic and did that
unscrew the heat sinks and the fets bend right over and
then reinstall the heatsinks and remove the two caps lay the one down and put the other one in with 24v and ground

hello everybody: I'm new here and so far I'd found very interesting information, I have the same problem ( display turning off after a couple of minutes of power it on)with my Vizio 42vse, so I'd just ordered the $14 board from china and I'll try to do the Mod.,
one question: when moving the pontentiometer what voltage should I'd to adjusted it? or should be better just to replaced it with a fixed resistor? ok I would post some Pict. if it works when I get it. Thank's

After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

                                            No standby red light, nothing
This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

LED light turns on when I disconnect LED driver board ribbon from mainboard (so i thought it is the mainboard,...

                                            Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...
