Re: e420vse no standby light
Easy fix for Vizio e420vse that works for a couple of minutes and then the Image goes out (black screen), I'd tried to do the mod we discuss before without any luck, but in the process noticed that chip HAI 7201PC get's to hot causing an internal short. so I added a 12vdc Fan I had , and that fixed the problem, +vcc pin 3 red and -vcc pin 8 purple. its been working for a week so far...

Re: e420vse no standby light
bmolke, a potentiometer is a variable resistor(look pic at post #20 the blue box) and yes I would post pictures and notes when I do it( in a couple of weeks when I'll receive the china part) Cheers

Re: maylong brick
Maybe by now you were able to opened it, but if not is very simple if you have the right tool, just get at ebay an Iphone screen tool kit($1 -$2) or just find one of those Guitar Nails (plastic Triangule) and press all around the edge of the tablet were the two plate covers (Front and Back)get together and you shoud be able to opened it. and please let us know if you were able to do the axis controller. Cheers

Re: e420vse no standby light
hello everybody: I'm new here and so far I'd found very interesting information, I have the same problem ( display turning off after a couple of minutes of power it on)with my Vizio 42vse, so I'd just ordered the $14 board from china and I'll try to do the Mod.,
one question: when moving the pontentiometer what voltage should I'd to adjusted it? or should be better just to replaced it with a fixed resistor? ok I would post some Pict. if it works when I get it. Thank's
