Well after sitting for how long overnight I decided to check it again and did do with out the mainboard connected and i now have 5v standby so checked mainboard and showing a short to ground at f2 location -

It's been a while since I've looked for help this time I have a little VIZIO E320FI-B2 power supply was dead ordered a replacement from Ebay and this one is also dead I will include pics of both boards in figuring out how to test the 5 volt side for standby the replacement power supply is not as dead as the original one I have voltages at the capacitors waiting to be turned on obviously I've checked fuses but I don't have 5v on pin 1 and 2 and I think I'm supposed to and that's with and without the mainboard plugged in... -

I received a dump via email
and flashed it with spipgm
verified and soldered it in
and still no luck I have a 2nd
one of these I'll get out later
and try to dump it and see
I wasn't able to read the first one
but that was using a black cat
this spipgm uses 4 resistors 3 power
wires and a ground and 2 a a batteries
I used a old laptops lpt port
just so people know you don't need to buy
a piece of hardware to read and flash it

shorting ground to wp allowed my programmer to finally recognize it and read the chip tho so i didnt try the other way yetLeave a comment:

i believe wp to ground will release the write protect
unless its like when you have to short out a 360 nand to get it to read

we know the usb port is there we can use it to charge the glasses
now think about this why would you want to send 5 volts to that usb when it sends out 5 volts when powered on
now the first one might be something totally different cause no matter how many times i try it it wont make a sound neither tv will

Well tonight I did sone more testing and with the help of a ps3 was able to get the lights to not go red blinking
I hooked hdmi into port 2 and turned it on and the pscrap tv
And light stayed blue until I did a video reset on the ps3 then light went to green and stayed until I turned off the ps3 off but only did this on hdmi 2Leave a comment:

No one has a copy of it and yes it has been confirmed
By several vendors that the firmware gets corrupted

Hey I tried to get a bin from my TV the other day but unfortunately the only programmer I have right now with SPI is the Willem programmer, and its Parallel based and the only computer I have with a Parallel port is having some sort of issue that causes it to freeze up randomly. Im guessing its a cracked solder joint on the BGA. I am trying to find something else to read it or another computer somewhere to borrow to read it. Unfortunately Parallel ports are not common these days
Also, can the chip be read in circuit do you know? Just so I know when I do get a computer. -
hey bud if you could get us a bin for the playstation tv it would be great and i could help you i have a blackcat usb programmer and have connected to 2 different chips i have 2 of these tvs and none of them will read so there completly shot i ordered some new chips
and was able to read and write to them but i dont have the needed file what programmers do you have ill get you the pinouts the chip pinout is standard spi cs clk si so hld vcc and i had to have 3.3v going to wp also -

Ok so I got a responce from 2 of the ebay sellers
One was kind enough to tell me the issue is with the eeprom chip
I asked for the bin he said they dont have it anymore
Maybe but anyway he told me what they did was buy a repaired one and copied it heres what I want to do
Ill put 30 $ towards getting one of my boards repaired
And take what ever donations I can get towards the rest
Then thise that helped will be the first ones to get a copy of the bin

my blackcat is supposed to be compatible but using the latest flashcat software i still get unsupported everytime i connect it

So removed chip and still not recognized made sure blackcat
Still works read a identical chip from a vizio so apears
The chip is dead will test 2nd 3t tv tomorrow if this is the case we will need a working bin to flash to a new chip I have several donor chips to test if any one gets a working sets bin thanksLeave a comment:
