Have vizio E60u-D3. No standby light. Have searched and read all D??u-D3 posts. posts with same symtoms fixed by new power supply, one guy needed back lights also.
main boards are kinda spendy and, out of stock alot of places. i would like to fix my board.

It's no wonder you didn't find anything in the search, it doesn't work for shit since they changed up the gui on this site, might want to fix that. Looks like there's a lot less posting going on too.

You can see impression of components in this two sided tape. Not sure if that would cause a heat issue for them.
someone said follow the power in on main board to see if it gets to main chip. Not sure how to go about that. Also seen someone comment that vizio has problems with voltage converters or regulators. Assuming the 16 to 5 volts needed for ps-on. Willing to learn have tools and access to more. Looking for some direction from more experienced persons. Thank you, great site and, people!

No it's not your fault, whoever made-over this site and how it works, screwed it up.

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
            by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.

Vizio E550i-A0 no power, no standby light
            by x_orange90_x
I have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
            by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Vizio D650i-B2 wont trun on and no standby light
            by bunting78
First off i want to say hello, as i am new and happy to be in the presence of people that know much more than me in these situations. I have searched through quite a few threads and not found and issue just like the one i am having. I just acquired a Vizio D650i-B2 that I was told just quit turning on and has no standby light. Going through some light diag last night i found that the set has a steady standby 5v at the power board connector. without removing any of the boards yet there is no obvious signs of burning, bloating, or cracking on anything that i see. I unplugged the IR board as i saw...
