Does that mean the pin marked STBY should have 12v? at this time it's nothing, although the pin next to it marked 3v3 has 3.3 v.

The STBY (PS_ON) pin should have >3VDC on it when TV is powered up, but I think you have already verify that it is at 0V.

OK, I will search elektrotanya to see if it has this chassis service manual. I think you will need new main board.

I downloaded the service manual, it does not have the same power supply board as yours, the service manual has power supply board and the inverter board, yours uses combo power supply-inverter board all in one.

At this point I don't know what else to do, so I think i will be getting a replacement main board but won't be able to for a few weeks, I'm hoping the power surge or lightning didn't wipe out the T-Con board as well, I'll be updating this thread after I get the main board (SSB) installed.

Help! I found this out while researching the Power Supply Board used in this TV Set. Please see my very first posting on this Thread..I got this TV from someone else whom replaced the power supply board their self...Shop Jimmy this Link..http://www.shopjimmy.com/philips-272...wer-supply.htm
Shows the board for this model is part# 22721710092 or 22721710096 but here's what is actually in this TV part# 227217100695 that someone else installed and I DO NOT have the original board, the connectors all plug in correctly and have the correct amount of pin connections. but if you look at my 1st post#1 and compare to Shop Jimmys you will see that on the largest heat sink my PS Board has only 3 Mosfets ( i think that's what they are) and theirs has 4, I can't find any information to tell me if these boards do actually interchange, so maybe that's why the set won't power on, I don't know and would appreciate any HELP I can get. Thanks!

You may well be correct - This link does not mention your set as having known compatibility http://www.retechtv.com/products/272...s-power-supply

EDIT having said that - that one in the link also has 4 - pity we cant read the wwhite barcode label - I think Budm recommends working on the label rather then the board number when replacing boards as they
sometimes use the same board and just modify it in the factory so the
barcode label is the final descriptor

The white barcode label on the power supply board that someone else installed in this tv is 227217100695, In searching Ebay and Shopjimmy I keep seeing boards ending in 0692 and 0696 but none ending in 0695, I just double checked the barcode again to verify it does definitely end in 0695.

Okay, according to information at this link:

                            http://www.hdtvparts.net/products/38...t828a-phi.aspx

the 227217100695 should be compatible in my model 47PFL3704D/F7

Yes - well that board might be compatible - indeed the one you have might be as I thought you and others had decided it was a main board fault.

Anyway another aspect to conjure with is that in the top right corner on your board picture there are links depending on what the board was fitted to in your case a 42 inch Funai. As there are no pictures of the back of the board I dont know if the link is of any relevance to the working of the board or just for Identification.
IF it is relevant then perhaps moving it from Funnai 42 to Funai 47 might help
but I dont know enough about TVs to say. Perhaps Tom does or perhaps you can find more pictures.

Trying to figure out if these 2 philips 47" LCD could use the same LCD Panel. Models 47PFL5704D/F7 and 47PFL3704D/F7 both have chassis PL9.0, I might have a chance to buy one that has a cracked lcd panel that has a working chassis, to use the chassis with my good LCD Panel. but I can't look at it now. does anyone know of a way to cross reference Panels to model or chassis # ? or do the LCD Panels have to be an exact match by Panel numbers? Thanks!

I dot believe you can tell by the sticker om the outside since they can change to different LCD panel manufacturer at any time. You will have to look at the sticker panel itself, and not only that, there are more than one version of the same panel model number, one may use 5V for T-CON, another version may use 12v for T-CON. I ran into that before.

I just got back home from Vacation last night, so Bud you are saying there are more than one version of the same panel model number, one may use 5v for T-CON and another may use 12V for T-CON, my question is are these different version panels labeled differently?? here's how mine is labeled

                                    LG Display LC470WUE (SB) (A1)
White Sticker Barcode number is 47098Z1808911 871B

I'm going to be looking at another Philips 47" LCD TV soon...Do the panel numbers need to match exactly? what should I look for? Thanks!

                                      "LG Display LC470WUE (SB) (A1)"
So it can be LG Display LC470WUE (SB) (A2), or B1, or C1, ETC.

I've done some research on Shopjimmy by looking at these two different model numbers and LCD Panels they use, I don't think it will work, he wants $75 for his with cracked screen and I can buy a replacement Main Board with the exact same part number as mine for less than $60.

When I looked up his Model with cracked screen it uses LC470WUF-SBA1, or LC470WUD-SBA1
