Boy! There are lots of parts on the bottom of the board, a lot more than I expect.
So right now, the backlights flashes on then go off?

Re: Sylvania LC320SS9 Flashing Green LED

I'll try to take some tom. Are there any surface mount fuses I am missing guys. Mine is a JVC LT 32em20 but they are the same. This ones got me nuts hahaha I got red light then when I try to pwr on two green flashes then back to red. All diodes are good out of circuit. the big ones on both boards. I checked all that were mentioned in posts. nothing. doing the double two step ass hole polka with this one.

OK, I hope I can see focused pictures on the next post, in the mean time, lest check the condition of the 4 MOSFETS that drive the high voltage transformers.
Just take the resistance reading between:
              1 & 2
              1 & 3
              2 & 3

My pics are just as bad guys. As far as mosfets.
                1+2=7.2 meg
                1+3=3.75meg
                2+3=2.165meg
                The others are the same.
Thanks for all your help guys. This is a bad design.

i tried to get resistance reading can't no matter the setting however i found this guide to test mosfet http://www.utm.edu/staff/leeb/mostest.htm and i found i can switch it on and off when desoldered from board ....weird thing is i did a resistance test on mosfet on a motherboard and i can get resistance readings so not sure whats up with that....

What voltage are you guys getting on CN601 (the red and black power connector) while the TV is plugged in?

                                            clock radio / radio lifespan?
                                            by shelby5041
                                            hi
ive got a modern digital clock radio approx 15yrs old

my question is how long can a clock radio or a simple radio last ss farcas operating hours?

since elec components have limited hour lifecspan i would imagine the radio or clock radio would eventually fail.

the reason i ask is because i have my clock radio on radio function 24/7 for the past 7 years and its still working fine....i leave the radio on ..never turn off past 7years...thats approx 60000 hours

it uses very little power just a few watts i would imagine that may have something...

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
                                            by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...

                                            Sharp LED TV flashing green 2x per second - LC-70LE735X, DPS-222BP, RUNTKA857WJQZ

Sharp TV flashing green light 2x per second at constant rate. Various reset methods do not have any effect on it. Search here and found flashing green 2x per second indicate bad power supply, which I am quite certain now.

I am seeking help with basic trouble shooting to find the short-circuit on the secondary side that I believe is the cause:

                                            The main PD connector:
                                            PD-1 (PNL12V) : 0.02V
                                            PD-2 (PNL12V) : 0.02V (fluctuating)
                                            PD-3 (SGRN) : 0V
                                            PD-4 (SGRN) : 0V
                                            PD-5 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)
                                            PD-6 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)...

                                            LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
                                            by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                                            Then each time...

Vintage SONY Digital Clock Radio ICF-C12W no audio

                                            Dear all,

I have this old radio clock by Sony from the early 80s, I guess. The clock display works, but is dim, the function board appears to be OK - but the radio unit shows no signs of life. It doesn't produce a single noise, crack or anything from either FM or AM band. It's like it doesn't even power up.
i opened the radio and it is full of some TRACON gray capacitors. They only have their negative strip printed, voltage and capacitace markings - no series, no temperature marking, nothing else.
My question is, do you know of this brand of capacitors and how bad are...
