Hello again, i was able to upload new bios but before bios i couldn't check the machine then i realized that cpu is shorted. This motherboard was liquid damage, it was working fine then it started to shutdown itself after random times. So basically i couldn't archived my goal. Definitely i need a board replacement, i really appreciated for your time and afford. Thank you so much.

                Hi there!

Another dead xps13 (9370, non-vPro) here. I'm quite sure the last thing i saw was a reboot after a Windows Update and since then it won't post.
I'm hoping Windows Update "only" corrupted the bios but the hardware is ok.
It still turns on, but aside from a few seconds of keyboard backlight (turns off after a few seconds and back on when a key is pressed) a quick fan spin and a charging battery, nothing else happens. Display test on powerup also works.
Bios recovery (ctrl-esc + plug in power) fails with "file not found" blink code (tried different names, cases, usb-ports, even different usb-sticks, with different filesystem sizes).

Can someone have a look and possibly fix this, please?

                  Hello again!

Meanwhile I tried rebuilding the bios as described in the ME Firmware Cleaning Guide, but while it took some time, several power cycles and removal of the cmos battery to get it to power on again, in the end, the symptoms did not change at all. I tried flashing my bios backup backup and it seems that I am exactly where I started.

                  Any assistance, please?

Thanks and have a great day!

Edit: I noticed, that the Service Tag was missing. That's not a problem, but would you mind telling me what you did to fix the issue? Or did you pick a "generic" bios for that model and my backup wasn't used/modified at all?

Hello nicely to hear that it worked it rarely appears at XPS.
Based on your service day, I downloaded the last BIOS .exe file from Dell and unpacked the whole thing.
With this information and your original file, I then created a new BIOS.
                        Then the ME region cleaned.
I deliberately not taken over your DMI I wanted to keep it as easy as possible.
The XPS are known for the BIOS programming often do not work.
                        This is actually all.
Of course you can insert your DMI again if you want.

Hey Markus! Great, thanks for letting me know!
Any pointers how to rebuild the original DMI data?
Can I use FIT to get the old data and move that into the new bios like when I tried to replace the ME Region that way?

                                    Heya

XPS 9370, ST: H911NQ2. The machine turns on, fans spin, keyboard lights up, but no picture and no bios post (it seems).

Attached is the original bios dump. Could anyone help me out with ME clean (or whatever else that's needed here)?

                                    Thank you.

                                        Dell Xps 13 9370 bios

                                        Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with a Dell XPS 13 9370. When I power it on, only one of the two fans starts spinning, and the LED flashes twice amber and four times white. If I try to shut it down, the second fan also starts for a moment, then the system powers off.

I’ve checked the main power rails, and all voltages seem to be present, so I’m starting to suspect a corrupted BIOS.
Could someone please share a working BIOS dump or firmware image for this model?

I’ve attached the BIOS file I downloaded along with the notebook specs.

                                        ST: 3CCWMF2
                                        EX: 7277618558
                                        Motherboard model: CAZ60 LA-E671P Rev.1

Thanks in advance for any help!

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware

                                          Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

                                          I...

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Help with BIOS update on Dell G15 5515 after chip replacement

                                          Hey everyone,

I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.

The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.

When I check the BIOS using the F12 menu Flash...

                                          Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...
