Hi all, it seems HP have patched MPM from early 2024 and later bios revisions, not only on the 840 G10 I mention below but several other new EliteBook's. Patching the bios through HxD would allow the laptop to go into MPM mode no problem but this is not possible with new bioses, you will be greeted with a 'The Bios has recovered it's identity data from the embedded controller due to data mismatch'. [B]Is there anyway to downgrade the bios with the password active to allow MPM mode again?[/B]

Thank you for trying, it didn't work, laptop turned on and off constantly and then sbios corruption blink code. I reflashed the original bios removed the windows key and instead installed windows 11 home. No mdm issue. Thank you for your help, to mitigate this issue entirely for other users, inject a windows 11 home key into the microcode update part of the bios removing the original key, windows will have no option but to install home instead of pro. Hi all, having a bit of an issue with this laptop bios I have bought a batch of ex company laptops with MDM, removed the windows key from the BIOS yet MDM still remains, changed WiFi card and SSD and still it remains, cleared TPM and still it remains, changed the S/N and still how the hell does it remain even after a fresh re-install? This is the first time I have seen this...
Please could someone shed some light on this? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I've got another with a bios password, tried changed TPM clear variable to 3C and tried other methods, get set temp key to 3C, still password remains, what is this?! HP, Dell, Lenovo are easy one method, change few strings and done!

Hi guys,
So I unlocked the bios for this laptop but it seems that the model name and asset tag have been wiped, showing "OEMED Product" on model and "123123123" on serial number. Can someone change this back, I copied the original bios dump and hex edited the product name but it didn't change in the setup, instead shows red unlock sign. Original BIOS dump attached.

HP Elite c645 G2 Chromebook Enterprise Admin Locked
Hi guys,
I have a chromebook which is proving to be very difficult to unlock, I changed the serial number after getting a dump of the bios flashed it back and still the admin lock persists showing the edited serial number! So it can't be tied to S/N. I have attached the original bios. Changed SSD same issue after new chrome OS image.
