Re: Sony VPCSB (MBX-237) dead after bios flash
Hello.
Thanks for the help.
I can not have the 3.3v or 5v. Only I have 19v on pin 4 and 6 of sn0608098, which surprises me that the measure in dcbatout irfh3707 or in sir460dp is 0v, or the terminals that connect to docking db 0v too. This means that I have a short dcbatout or this later. I already change the capacitor from here that was in short.
Excuse me for my english.
Thank you very much.Comment

Re: Sony VPCSB (MBX-237) dead after bios flash
Hello.
I let this plate stop and now I've started again.
I changed the mec1609, sir460 and a capacitor, they were wrong.
I have already tensions VALW +3, +5 VALW, + EVCC, pwrsw # _db, pwrsw, system_vref3.
In the power button I have 5v in mind 3v, is this normal?
The plate still does not start, it does nothing, it could be that I have the wrong bios or will be another failure?
Thanks, I hope not to be heavy.Comment

Sorry I don't, I didn't have a programmer before. What I did was to download the original BIOS from Sony using the model number (VPC**** or PCG****).Comment

Re: Sony VPCSB (MBX-237) dead after bios flash
I don't know, I can't see which connectors they are.
Yes, if you saw a flash or a blink, probably you made a short-circuit and burnt the SN0608098RHBR. you should change it.
Pin 7 is located near PC205, the one in the green rectangle.
Always check voltages in components connected to pins, not in the pin, it is safe.
How did you know the name of the item PC205, which is not located on the main board

I'm also trying to repair a Sony VPCSB in my own thread, and I noticed you people are also missing CNX-458 schematics.
Big thanks to atsio, who shared this with me.

by IhandyrepairHI guys
I got here a Sony 65X950G - I tried to find any repairs guides for this model but not many online
here is the issue
I have Sony and android logo. but then 4 led red flash lights front of the tv
I have 3.3v ref. 12v reg then T con 12v when I press the power on button
but then I get black screen and 4 red flash light at the front LED
but I get 3 led flash on the LED driver board.
I check that few X900F or C YouTube repairs, seems that if you have 4 led red flash it could be due of LED black light error
so I tried... -
by what_1282105Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....

by bohabohaHello to everyone in this wonderful forum.
I have this SONY LCD TV KDL_46R473a
PSU GL5 APS350 :1-888-122- 12
MAINBOARD FY13_EU IP-012C101-4010
black screen ,no STB no life almost death.
on PS all the required volts are present 394V on the main cap and those on cold side 12.41V,3.45 and 3.45 are on
Also 3,5,and 12v are on.
nothing happens if i disconnect the PSU from the mainboard as on Samsung because here i think the mainboard gives the signal to the ps.
don't know what to do next all suggestions and advice are very welcome... -
by TalynHi,
My Sony W905 started to turn itself off an on every few minutes and blinking 8 times red in standby. A few minutes later the tv was completely dead.
I can only hear the click of the PSU when attaching/detaching the power cable. No standby LED.
Any advice? Thanks! - Loading...
