You are right [USER="169897"]piernov[/USER] I must've not touched the probe to ground, PPVRTC_G3H is 3.3v and PP1V05_S0 is around 450 ohms against ground.
I even got the voltages at the end of this power sequence ( [url]https://logi.wiki/index.php/G3_to_S3_State_for_Ivy_Bridge_Haswell_and_Broadwell[/url] ). So I guess PCH_INTVRMEN_L and PCH_DSWVRMEN are okay.

Need confirmation if PCH is dead
Hello, got a 820-00165, has orange led but won't power on, if I SMC bypass, the fan spins indefinitely, but the PCH/Processor does not even warm up.
Here are the relevant voltages, need confirmation if PCH is dead to inform customer:
PPVRTC_G3H - [COLOR=#c0392b]0v[/COLOR] (4 MOhms)
RTC_RESET_L - 3.3v

LA-K862P UMA conversion
Hello guys, I got this LA-K862P motherboard, it has a shorted GPU core and memory chips, I've already desoldered the memory chips, do I need to desolder the GPU for an UMA conversion?
I've done the following:
[LIST][*]Moved RH44 resistor to RH43 (uma resistor switch)[*]Removed PLW1 and PLW2 (gpu power)[*]Removed PLV2, PLV3, PLV4, PLV13[/LIST]
I'm supposed to have 19v in PLB1 (+19V_CHG) but there's a leakage and I'm getting ~3v.

Someone (FairRepair) helped me track down a very low resistance (around 14 ohms) in the VDDQ line even it's being fed 1.17V.
Since this board (NB8511) has soldered RAM, I desoldered the 4 RAM chips and the low resistance was GONE. However if I just solder back any 1 of the 4 chips, I still get low resistance.
My question is: Is there a chance all 4 chips are shorted or could another component create this low resistance once a chip is soldered on.

It charges now, I was running the HP Battery Check.
When I first ran it, it said adapter plugged in. Ran the tool a second time and it showed charging, so it was like huh? Looked at the dc jack and it was amber!
I kinda suspect it was the ME clean combined with the HP Battery Check tool.Leave a comment:

Bumping, would appreciate if anyone can help.
I tried with a new dc in jack and the symptoms are the same.
I tried flashing a new bios with clean ME too.
Even Windows says the adapter is plugged in, but the dcin jack has no LED on.

Acer SF313-52 no video
Hello all, this board is not giving me any video signal. The PCH and processor dies heat up when I power it on. Tried flashing different BIOS.
PLT_RST_N is 3.3V, but DRAM_RESET_N is 1.17V , I'm not sure if 1.17v is correct voltage, I can't swap RAM since the RAM is onboard/soldered. -

I remove the battery, put it back in, plug in power adapter: white (full ) or amber (charging) led turn on.
But if I remove the battery while the power adapter is plugged in: the led turns off immediately.Leave a comment:

I'm not with the laptop at the moment, but it can work without the battery, just power adapter.
I forgot to state that I already ordered a generic battery off of eBay. So it's been tested with 2 power adapters and 2 batteries (generic).
I have to see if the led remains on if I remove the battery....Leave a comment:

Measuring PIN 3 of D2703 ([B]VOLTAGE_ADC[/B]) I'm getting 1.45V
Also, I notice when I plug in the adapter, the led in the dc jack turn on white for 1 second.
To clarify, the laptop doesn't charge when I turn it off, I have to unplug ac/dc adapter then remove battery and then plug in the adapter, if I turn off the OS, it won't charge until I do that procedure.Re: HP ProBook 4440s ONLY charges when OFF

Tried disabling the driver and still the same, but my symptom differs from his, the jack only turns on amber/orange LED when the laptop is off, when the laptop is on, it doesn't have the white or amber LED, it's as if the ac/dc adapter is not plugged in, but Window says it's plugged in.Leave a comment:
