Hi I am looking to replace a small motor in an electric fire that drives the flame effect roller. Model is a 42TYJ ( Nothing else) but I cant find an exact replacement.
I am currently looking at various similar ones from China Including this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CCW-CW-Dir...item1c35b1df96
Problem I have with a lot of them is that whilst main specs are ok they are described in Direction as being CW/CCW and I was wondering if anyone knows what this means. ( I know it means clockwise/counter clockwise.)
Does this mean that it just sets off in whatever direction it feels like it or is there some way of controlling that. I dont think there is anything on the fire it seems to power direct from the mains in - not via any boards.
I tried emailing a couple of sellers but no reply. I can see that in a microwave or christmas tree lights it doesnt matter but in a fire I think I has to go anticlockwise so the "flames" go up
Anyone else played with these
