Mint on a number of machines. Android on my smartphone. I don't know what sockets , processors or motherboards on the pc s and laptops. I bought them used/were given to me.
PS . I think the last windows software I bought was windows me .

There is not enough metal in a pc to be worth much . There is a method of getting the gold out of electronic items . I dont know if there is enough to be worth the effort . I have sold scrap copper and a/c parts from when I was a kid (mid 70s) . You can make a few bucks when the market is good .Leave a comment:

A guy gave me about 11 old PC s . So far about 6 work . They have windows xp on them. I was able to get Linux Mint to boot on one. I had it on an old hard drive.Leave a comment:

I got a var cap off Amazon. Took a couple of months to get it. If you look at electronics suppliers they are available. As I remember the cap was around 365 pf . Don't remember the micro Henries of the coil . But it's easy to find. You can also use a fixed cap and a mid taped coil. I have seen a few videos on YouTube on how to..
