Thanks guys. I resoldered them previously but no change. I do hear a bit of a rattle when I shake it so I will replace crystal today and test....

Fujitsu Aircon remote control
I managed to drop this recently. It fell flat and square onto the floor from about 1.8m. Can't remember if face up or face down.
The remote still kinda works but the display is blank and only shows up if I repeatedly flick the little silver crystal/oscillator looking thing on the board.
Not sure if this part is the culprit or if flicking it is moving something else, but it seems localised to that component as far as I can tell.
Having trouble working out the value of it since it doesn't seem to have anything other than a brand name printed on the side of it....

Here is the update, sorry about the delay I didn't have much time to get back to this one.
I could only get the fuse in a lot of 10 locally so I took a chance and powered it up with the diodes and link removed configured for 220v and it works.
I'm trying to understand the theory behind it though as to why fuse blew but nothing else appears damaged....

With the circuit acting as a doubler but getting fed 220v instead of 110v the capacitors would have seen over 300volts dc each? I already replaced all diodes since I was already adding two more. I thought they tested ok, but it was late will try to find them. They are 4007 1000v diodes....1 Photo

Fender Mustang non valve guitar amp - owner connected 110v amp to 220v.
Hi all,
I recently picked up this amp as not working. I took it as is. Didn't notice until I got home it had foreign power plug and was marked 110v and our local voltage is 220v so then I knew what had happened to it.
Opened it up and was able to find the schematic online. In the schematic I have uploaded I have erased the parts for 220v operation to make it easier for me to visualise however I have since added the two additional diodes and remove the wire link from the power supply so I can test it easier on 220v
From the FAQ I learnt that for 110v the power...1 Photo

Re: Sony KDL-55EX640 (630) DEAD SET
I'm pretty sure of the values in my initial post apart from r606. I'll measure across those two parallel resistors/diode. The parallel figure of those two should confirm if it's 51D or 510.

Re: Sony KDL-55EX640 (630) DEAD SET
Hi Mate,
Best I can do tonight.
IC601 = ICE2QS03G - Infineon
R605 = 69Y 5.11 ohm
R606 = 51D? 332k ohm?
R618 = 30B 2k ohm...Last edited by t4796; 08-10-2016, 05:48 AM.

Re: Help identify fuse
Good question.
There were a lot of blown caps on the power supply board and also two on each inverter board. There could be more problems.
When it got it there was a blink code and it wouldn't start up. It starts up now after recap, with no blink code but was only illuminating one side. I hadn't checked the fuses before, but noticed the slave side fuse was blown.
I should order a few, in case it blows again and I have to replace the IC or the fets or both?
Funny how I never saw that 12A DC65V annotation...Last edited by t4796; 02-02-2016, 07:34 AM.

Help identify fuse
I need to replace a fuse on a philips lcd inverter board.
The component in question has KOAC 12A printed on it.
I found KOA Speer - CCF1N12TTE I think this is the correct part that is on the board, but is this really a 12AMP fuse? Such a high current rating?...Last edited by t4796; 02-02-2016, 07:14 AM.

Re: LG LVDS FFC continuity
I thought that the pins should go straight through to either end of the plug?
I've got ~12v at the fuse. I found one of my Sony lvds cables was the same size and tried it with the same result unfortunately. I think the mainboard is at fault. I seem to read a lot of threads where LG mainboard have gone faulty. Wish I knew what component. Saw some people replace eeproms.

LG LVDS FFC continuity
I've got an LG LA6230 with back light, audio but no video. I've tried another t-con same result.
Thought I'd check the lvds cable and I find some pins have no continuity. Is this normal?Last edited by t4796; 12-20-2015, 07:00 AM.

Re: Panasonic Viera TH-P50U30A Plasma Faulty Panel?
Just following up on this.
Replaced both the SD and SU with boards from the 3D model. The original was AB, the donor was AG.
Whilst it would run with only one board replaced, the other half of the screen had lines missing no matter how well seated the ribbons were.
With both boards replaced and ribbons seated runs fine. Fixed.Last edited by t4796; 11-21-2015, 06:18 PM.

Re: TCL LCD TV L32M11HD no standby
Thanks for the reply. I've taken the following measurements:
CB4 - 21.14uF on meter I do not have ESR meter
measures 1.078k (meter - to cathode) and 0.077M (meter + to cathode)
measures 1M+ (rising on meter) (meter - to cathode), 0.676V in diode check mode and Open (meter + to cathode)
I didn't remove ZB6 to test because it was surface mount. I desoldered pin 5 IC1 which hopefully isolated that...Last edited by t4796; 11-15-2015, 12:42 AM.

TCL LCD TV L32M11HD no standby
Hi,
I have a TCL 32" LCD on the bench. No standby 3.3v
I do not have stable voltage on pin4 Vdd of IC1 VIPER12A (with respect to AGND)
Schematic is attached, pictures of standby section now attached....Last edited by t4796; 11-14-2015, 11:12 PM.
