    Shifted Screen

Hello, I have just replaced the LED strips in my Sharp LC-50LB481U. However, the menu/picture is now completely shifted on the screen. Any suggestions?

      Re: Shifted Screen

The screen shifted to the right and down and now has lines. Once I started to put it back together, is when the picture screwed up. I had a perfect picture once I switched out the lights and screened it up to see what it looked like. However, after putting it back together is when I turned it on to see the screen. The more I mess with it now, the more the picture becomes distorted.

The picture is not shifted, you damaged the lcd screen, top left corner and likely elsewhere

Yep, I agree with RJ. That does suck though, breaking it while putting it back together.

Really? The screen looks fine though, I see no evidence of damage.

Take it back down so you can see the whole screen and look it over real closely, flashlight laser light magnifying glass or glasses etc. it IS very easy to damage the screen or tabs on re-assembly, anyone who's never broke one is VERY lucky.

NOT doubting it's broken, just not in a million pieces.

what do you mean "mess with it" ... what are you messing with? Good chance that if you put on your glasses and check the seating of the ribbon cables at the tcon and panel, you may find the problem. Also ensure no frame members are touching any of the boards in the "wrong places"... also the right length of screw was put back in the right place. Check around the left bottom corner area.
