Very blurry picture. Changed the one connect box and same problem. Tried disconnecting one side of the tcon but I guess that no longer shows half of the tv picture so I am kind of stuck. I would normally think the Tcon is the problem but other than ebay it is not in stock for a fair price, and on ebay it is $100.00. Hope anyone here can help.

Double-image is usually panel Gate drive issue.
But at this point you no longer get anything on the screen?
Did you verify that the ribbon cables are not damaged or verify that they are put back in place correctly?Never stop learning

Re: samsung qn55q7famxza blurry picture
I don't think it has gate drivers , i think it's a QLED panel and the tech behind that is not much known, we need better pictures 'cause is not photographed the main/av board and the board that resembles a tcon must be better caught in zoomed pict without the shield.

Quantum dots are microscopic molecules that, when hit by light, emit their own, differently colored light. In QLED TVs, the dots are contained in a film, and the light that hits them is provided by an LED backlight. That light then travels though a few other layers inside the TV, including a liquid crystal (LCD) layer, to create the picture. The light from the LED source is transmitted through the layers to the screen's surface, which is why we say it's "transmissive."Last edited by budm; 12-28-2019, 04:10 PM.Never stop learning

Re: samsung qn55q7famxza blurry picture
I get a blurry pic if the flat cables to the panel are connected. If I disconnect one side or the other then no picture at all. I will try and get a better pic of the Tcon next week but with all of my medical appts and the holidays it may not happen. I will try and see if there is any damage to the gate drivers on the panel but not sure when that will happen.

Re: samsung qn55q7famxza blurry picture
I need help with a 75" model like this one. with the one connect cable disconnected I see the "disconnect banner". when I connected the cable, the picture is distorted like a checker board. I ordered a new one connect cable and now i have no Image at all but the backlight changes as if video content were there. I have tried a different one connect box with the same results. Do I have a new defective one connect cable? thanks
