Did this ever get solved. I am in the same situation except that I changed the severely damaged HDMI port. I have done all that Themi has done and still not display.

I have same TV that if no signal is input it stays on for over 20 minutes but if I have a input the TV will only run maybe 2 minutes but I still have sound. I am thinking of taking the panel off but not something I want to do if not necessary. I am wondering if maybe a main board could be the problem.Leave a comment:

samsung un60j6620daf led problem
This TV had bad LED's so I ordered new ones from Shop Jimmy, tested them with a led tester but when I hook them up to tv they blink very dim one time and will not light up unless I touch one of the contacts on the led strips and of course get shocked when I do this. I test them in the tv with my led tester and all led's light up so I am confused as to why they are not lighting up when I turn on the TV. Any help would be appreciated. -
Am I installing this Diode in correctly?
First sorry for the poor pictures but this is what I have to work with. I am installing a new diode that the customer removed but took a picture of before removing. I believe I am installing it correctly but am not sure and would appreciate any help.... -

Question, using a led tester plugged directly into the two pin plug to the led's none light up and the volts on the tester do not drop. I can not see any bad led's but they do not light up so shouldn't at least some led's light up when the led tester is connected?Leave a comment:

Dell XPS 15 9560 damage to motherboard
I inadvertently left a dc jack sitting on the motherboard with the dead (I thought) battery plugged in and it damaged a component location PL500. I am not sure what this component is and can I just jumper it to get it working? Any help would be appreciated.... -

I get a blurry pic if the flat cables to the panel are connected. If I disconnect one side or the other then no picture at all. I will try and get a better pic of the Tcon next week but with all of my medical appts and the holidays it may not happen. I will try and see if there is any damage to the gate drivers on the panel but not sure when that will happen.Leave a comment:

Samsung PN63C8000 has sound no picture
I determined the Y Main was bad so I replaced it and now all voltages are correct and it has sound now when it turns on. I brought up the test pattern by jumping ps on to ground and shorting pins 3 and four. If I turn the tv on after removing the jumper and the short the screen will flash and I hear the samsung tone but no picture is displayed. I read on a different thread that some one had the picture going black after a few minutes and replacing the main board fixed that. I was wondering if anyone else has any other things I can check.... -

I turned down the backlight on all inputs to 50% and it ran fine for one day. I turned it on this morning and back to the same problem. I ordered a power supply since the main board is not available and I will hope that is it.Leave a comment:

I should add that when I first turned it on the tv worked fine and it took several days to start to strobe and guess what it is now working just fine and most likely will for days.Leave a comment:
