Not being funny here, but thats useless. The reason is because the core update works for ALL MB80 series no matter what the screen or parts it uses so you have no need to worry mate

      Yes
      pretty sure what to do..
Format USB drive to FAT32,download zip file and open it to get folder.
folder contains file, upgrade_loader.pkg which is version V.0.8.4 and is 9329kb in size, transfer file only to USB drive, unplug tv from mains, connect USB drive, plug tv into mains, flashing led on tv,when flashing stops, software off USB is loaded, reboot tv and re-install channels.
Remember to set Backlight Led drive to LOW and dynamic contrast to HIGH.
      Does that cover it?
BTW Is the Hitachi Logo startup retained?
      Cheers

That was before I knew much about these, no any core update and any 17mb95 flash update will work for any board buddy no matter what screen etc. Its only if you have the other folders with it which normally are not needed so the ohm supplies kits are useless really you only need the mboot folder I might upload it if I have the time.

UN55ES6100 consisting of a left and right edge strip. Each strip has 76 leds which are really two strips of 38 in parallel. The top half of the left strip has one open led. The bottom also has one open led in addition to 37 shorted leds. How the hell does that happen ? Haven't even checked the right strip...

These strips are damn near impossible to find and replacing that many leds that seem to be standing up on edge is more fun than I'm allowed.

May have to part this one out.

I do at least one backlit LED TV per week, sometimes more. I have 3 alone waiting for me tomorrow when I get to the shop. Have given up on the strips, even shopjimmy strips fail in time so I have started just replacing the individual LED's so I know which ones are good. Charging customers 100 for labor because of how hard they are to get to, and 5 per LED which are cheap enough at Mouser.

They are only rated at 0.14W! 40mA max, 30mA recommended.
they need to be 300mA or more.

What would be good is a list of new leds that work ok and last, also the part numbers and company they was purchased from. Im sure the information would help us all.

Re: Post The Led Backlights Your Fixing Here.

Thanks to the help of this forum and some videoes of Mrreeceyburger on youtube I succesfully replaced 4 smd diodes with a heatgun on a Panasonic TX-L42B6E tv (according to customer a little more than two years old).
The backlight was made by LG with a total of 50 diodes on strips.

The rectangular diodes I used I bought from Aliexpress.com:
Product: EVERLIGHT LED 3030 lamp beads 1W LCD TV Backlight Lamp beads 3V cool white With Zener Pressure 30cps

                                  http://www.aliexpress.com/item/LED-3...8.0.104.S7FGQf

The diodes had reversed anode/cathode comparing to the original diodes.

The failed diodes was spread out and after replacement I could not see any lightspots or the like on the screen during my tests.

I charged 1400SEK and left only 1 month of guarantee because of the likelihood of more failing diodes.
                                  Cheers

The backlight was made by LG with a total of 50 diodes on strips.

The rectangular diodes I used I bought from Aliexpress.com:

The diodes had reversed anode/cathode comparing to the original diodes.

The failed diodes was spread out and after replacement I could not see any lightspots or the like on the screen during my tests.

I charged 1400SEK and left only 1 month of guarantee because of the likelihood of more failing diodes.

Thanks to the link for the LED. Do you know if the big pad is ANODE or CATHODE? It is very important info for how the LED will dissipate the heat.
SAMSUNG LED had large pad for CATHODE (I just use them for repairing SAMSUNG a couple days ago), and the LG LED has large pad for ANODE.
Too bad the link does not give the part number, details spec, and the foot print details.

LG 50LN5300 had one open led in upper strip assembly. Repaired with a led from a Samsung strip.

Sharp Aquos 60" with suspected led problem up next.

Lg 42LB550 uses 5v type Leds with huge lenses, two open circuit oddly enough. Replaced with equivalents and stuck lenses on with hot glue set sorted and the image on the Lcd is nice and set the Bl to 30 and Lcd brightness to 60

Also done others but they were just Vestels so nothing worth listing

                                            Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

                                            Hi,

                                            First post...

I have this TV, which was working, then suddenly would not turn on. It would get the clicking relay then flash up the screen for less than a second, off for a second then on again. Removing the plug the relay continues to click on and off for a few cycles, which I don't think it did before.

Left it a few months, then finally got round to taking the back off, and it worked as it should. So I tested various bits and all was well. Then turned it on again, and back to the clicking relay.

I disconnected the main board from the power...

Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                                            I made the following tests:
                                            1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                                            2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

                                            'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...

Hi everyone I have this TV which was dead one day when I tried to turn it on. I've had the cover off and there was just a pulsating/electrical clicking/ticking noise from the PSU. I disconnected the mainboard as sometimes this works to just fire it up with backlights on? That didn't help. Same noise. Then I disconnected the backlight cable from the PSU and the TV came alive. It appeared to respond to the remote and i'm pretty sure it's fully operational when there is no backlight connected.

However, I am in a dilemma.

I tested the backlight outputs with the lights disconnected...
