Anyway sorry to bother you but I have a b&w zeppelin gen 1, I got it not working, changed 3 caps and it now works but I’m getting a low du du du du du like motor boating with any cable I plug into AUX it does it with my iPad, and phone and without anything on the cable is there something failed is it an easy fix?

Ive used 6.3v on a circuit I made for a led supply. Its 5v been running fine for years not got round to sorting it yet Ill know if the psu voltage gets too high

Inject voltage and see what gets hot. Also I did as google and there's people claiming open circuit resistors in this unit causing this not short. See how much power is being drawn from the mains when the device is connected. Does anything get hot ?Leave a comment:

QUAD 66 Pre Amplifier Anyone Worked On Before ?
Hey everyone, no images just yet of the device. Wanted to ask if anyone has experience with this preamp ? It's intermittent something by the the main IC or the IC itself is faulty. IC 302 on the schematic, if you freeze near this area the amp works. So far I've done the following:
Soldered cpu to board-removed 40 pin socket
Replaced 4mhz clock
Replaced all caps
Cpu has clean 5v
Caps near cpu are ok
Resistors and resistor pack test ok
All other voltages are there and working
Two small ZTX750 transistors near by I have on order,... -

Watches can have bad caps too! 735XT Repair
I had some time today spare, normally we would just board swap to reduce labour time. This Garmim 735 was stuck in a boot loop. Battery shutting down the voltage (bms shutdown) decided something could be short so went hunting.
Found some shorts near the cap I replaced, so put 1v and some IPA this one soon showed up. Replaced the cap and fixed! Just thought I'd share
