Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
No I played the heat gun all over the main board just to warm it in general, but it did come back to life even though it was for only a short time.
But it did also come back to life when I used the freeze spray on the main board, again only for a minute or so
Can not get it on now just got the 1 fast 3 slow blinks of the led

Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
Re nomoresonys,THIS makes me think it might be a bad cap or something, where did you heat it to get that result?
I baked mainboard in oven 220c 10 minutes
my searching on google seems to suggest 1 fast 3 slow is powerboard, but my previous 3 blinks prior to baking suggests mainboard problem

Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
Tv is all back together, still not working, But I now notice led blinking has changed again to 1 quick flash then 3 slow flashes
Back to google search again for this fault code
I have had 3 slow flashes, then it changed to 2 slow flashes then back to 3 slow flashes and now 1 fast and 3 slow, maybe it will change to 4 flashes tomorrow

Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
May be easier to find a 60" smashed screen tv with same screen as this and swap out screens

Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
just warmed mainboard using a hairdriver and tv powered up to a good picture, however before i could get remote to do a factory reset it powered off
Now thinking nothing to loose maybe worth sticking mainboard in the oven for ten minutes

In that case then yes the 5v is there at pin 15 with the mainboard disconnected

Re: Sharp LC-60LE741E 3 Blinks
Just freeze sprayed mainboard and tv powered up, however I switched it off quickly as mainboard was not mounted and heatsinked.
refitted mainboard and now not powering up so looks like a mainboard is needed for this tv
