hmm something else i noticed. I watched a video on shopjimmy which showcasesan lc-32 with simillar problem. However when he goes through a hardreset, you'll briefly see the menu and channel indicator, I don't get any picture when attempting a hard reset, I'm wondering if there is more to this issue than just a potential backlight problem.
any thoughts from anyone? Like i'm actually wondering if there;s an issue with the mainboard not showing video and if there is that issue could that be causing my error code altogether.
i feel like there's probably a way to override the diagnostic mode as i mentioned in the other post but not sure how i'd do it since it was technically a different tv
it shows the bridging of a cap to disable the error detection. I was wondering if the same method could be applied to this tv so that It would run "normally" so i could at least properly troubleshoot. With the error detection taking over, I can't get anywhere with it.
sorry for the late response. Um my knowledge of measuring this sort of thing is very minimal. forgive my inexperience but no idea what that means lol.
Look at picture,I circled the legs of the coil which you need to check resistance between.
Write down the resistance from all coils, they should be within 10% of each other.
i'm not getting any reading when measuring those legs. i have my multimeter set to 500v Since i read the reading should be over 1KV IDK if my multimeter just idn't powerful enough to read thjat
The picture of the transformer pins are on the BOTTOM view so you have to look at it from top view perspective which will be opposite. ' i have my multimeter set to 500v'
BTW, we are reading resistance not Voltage!
NO POWER to the unit.

These need to be measured in ohms resitance Not dc volts so leave the tv unplugged and take the readings so we can see if you have any issues.

Reason: budm beat me to my reply
lol i realized as soon as i posted that i'm like...wow i has the dumb today. These are the readings that im getting
800
800
763
768
768
768
770
Can't get a reading from the 8th one
775
765
775
775
So probably safe to say that (i beleive that's the master board that has 12 transformers and the slave has 10) there is one bad transformer on the master. i'm going to read the slave now and report back
