philips 42pfl3704d/f7 resistor size
I am working on this tv and I found some bad resistors. R603, 604,605,606. If I look at the parts list of the service manual it says they are 470k ohms 1/4 watt. What is on the board and all the resistors in that area look to be 1/8 watt in size. Is this a service manual screw up or a design screw up. Scratching my head.... -

I touched up q504 and the corresponding resistors around it, Plus i put foil tape around and on the backside of the board for Ic101. I squeezed some no clean flux around and under the IC and took my hot air desoldering device to it and heated it up and let it cool down. Removed foil tape and put the board back in and tv turned on. Success
but discovered the screen has lines in it caused by the screen. They are fine lines but they are there, so cant sell that way. NNNNooooooo 
Guess i will be parting this one out and selling...

Using the startup document posted on the post above, I have been using it to check voltages. I am not getting any voltage on the INV_ON / DRV_ON connection. I'm sure voltage on this line is needed to tell the power supply to turn the set on. I am posting an image of the document with the voltage readings i am getting. Its looking to me like it might be R546, R532, R547, and or Q504. Let me know what you think....

Here are the measurements from P201 on the power supply. It looks allot like the original posters readings. I don't think the power is getting to the main board to turn the power supply on. I think it could possibly be ic602 or q504 on the main board or somewhere along the way. The hunt is on....

I have the same TV and same issue as listed above. I will be posting soon the measurements I'm getting and what I've done. I know the issue is on the main board, I've just got to narrow down the component or components that are causing this.Leave a comment:

Update: The tv was having an issue where after the tv was on for a while the tv would shut off, became unresponsive, and had no standby light. I suspected the power supply was causing the problem but that was not the case. the problem ended up being the PD cable that ran from the power board to the main board. I discovered it when i was checking around the main board and moved the harness connector and the tv shut off when i moved it some more the tv came back on. Took each wire out soldered the connector...Leave a comment:

Have a new problem that did not show up during my testing. After the TV has been on for a while the TV will shut off on its own. There is no standby light and the buttons are unresponsive. Even unplugging and plugging back in has no effect. Any ideas? I've not taken the cover back of yet. Sounds like something that is getting flakey when it gets to hot.

Repair update:
I've not been well for a while so I put the TV on the back-burners for a while. So the tv would not power on but had a flashing power light and opc light. The power light and the opc lights where green in color and flashing the code 2 power 1 opc. For a while I thought i was dealing with a power board problem. I would get certain voltage you saw in earlier post but not the voltages that would allow the main board to turn on the power board. I tested it wrong q7152 is working correctly.
