    Bad panel or t-con

My friends TV was damaged during a recent move. The movers must have dropped it or something. This is what his picture looks like on his LCD TV. Is this a damaged panel or something else. The moving company will replace his tv if it is the LCD panel.

Looks like a bad panel to me, try flexing the screen while it is on and see if it moves or goes away....

Do I need to do this with the TV apart?

Nope. Flex the screen a bit. You also can squeeze the frame around the screen and see if it goes away. Looks like tab bonds to me.

Looks like a panel tab bond issue to me.

perhaps the moving loosened some of the cables. Try reseating the cables going to the tcon board to see if things change especially those on the left side.
