    SAMSUNG UN46D6420UFXZA bad t-con

i have narrowed down the problem to a bad tcon though i dont see any physical damage on the board it self(not sure if its really fried or not). what id like to know is where can i buy a replacement board? it has to be in the lower 48 states and it cant exceed $65 with shipping.
this is the exact part i need

That is expensive T-CON, you need to match the P/N as printed on the barcode sticker.

How do you know, that is the T-con the problem?
I'm just trying to warn you about these TVs, they suffer from bad panels.

              Hello,
You will need to run the tv with one ribbon cable connected to the panel at a time( make sure to do both sides). If you get a good half picture it is likely a bad panel.

The SMD fuse is on the T-CON board, it will be closed to the LVDS cable, please up load the pictures of the T-CON we can show you where the fuse is.

The fuse is the white rectangle with the gold ends above the bottom conector. You should read the same voltage to chassis ground at both ends, If there isn't any voltage it's either a bad mainbord or the cable.

The right side works but the left side is black, so is it the screen or the t-con board?

I had the same exact symptom on mine, shorted panel.
That is why I ask, to don't waset money on this TV.
D series has bad panel, that is a known fact.
                          I could pick up a 55D6050 which is (completely)dead, but I'm scared.
Bud, what do you think, I should go for it?

                                Hello guys.
I'm having the same problem. I try to remove one of the two ribbon cable between the tcnon and the panel. With a right cable removed the tv doesn't power on, but with the left cable remove I Can see a part of picture as in the pic. I still don't know if the problem is the tcon or the panel...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update

                                          Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

                                          More Details

                                          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
