Is that is? Just one board? Where is the "We also need you to upload good clear pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing ALL the boards"?

Re: proscan PLDED3996A-C2 NO PICTURE POWERS ON

When it's NOT working do the following:

Measure the voltage over the big black capacitor.
Measure the voltage at the LED output connector (little white one to the left (2nd pic))
If you have an oscilloscope take a screenshot of what happens at this connector when you try to start to the TV. If a LED is defective it may just give a very short pulse and then shut down.

      Post your findings/measurements here.

I noticed when i bend back and forth the board near the 110v in, Tv works fine...i redid the solder even popped it in the oven for 10min like we do in I.T. with laptop motherboards and still same issue, bend the board near the 110v in and it works, bend it some more and it doesn't..

Tv turns on fine sometimes...and it works flawlessly but other times it does not turn on at all, I don't have an oscilloscope unfortunately, i'm wondering if it could be bad caps that work intermittently?

From your last two posts it definitely looks like a poor solder joint if flexing the board makes it work/not work. Get the magnifier out and resolder all joints once more. Look for a crack in the tracks.

I redid most of the solders and even put the board in the oven..yet no luck none of the capacitors look bad, and the coils seem ok as well...weird

transformer wire issue where its soldered to the legs that go through the pcb? the part you cant see unless you desolder the transformer.

How about the 470 capacitor in the picture (on the upper right side near the wires), does it look ok to you? Thx

hard too say in the pictures but does look slightly domed can you remove and test if you have a esr meter also the multi strand wire connector lvds just in front of that capacitor is that fitted right? on all the pins the picture may just be deceiving

I believe the problem was the 2 capacitors, i changed them and tv started working more regularly but looks like i de-soldered the old caps without the right tools so now the little spots where i am to solder the capacitor's legs are damaged it seems, i attached 2 pictures of the crappy soldering job i did, was wondering if there was a way to repair

                        Hi,

Would you by any chance be able to tell me what might cause the red light not to go on anymore? Up until i changed the capacitors the red light would go on but the tv was intermittent, now it just doesn't light up anymore..

if u want help take pic of entire tv set and also try to salvage that board u did soldiering on. What iron you using? Try to clean it with rubbing alcohol and see how bad the damage is. doesn't look so good.

Being a multilayered mainboard it is crucial delicate soldiering. Need to see up close and clean to see how bad the pads &Thru-hole is. Since you don't have led anymore it is clear there is either no connection or it is grounded out by nearby tracks and or pads. it will need to be reworked. Make sure you use flux and a good iron with clean tin tipped iron very important, and if you're transferring too much heat to pads you will destroy pads, so no long lingering time on contact let it cool little bit.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                    Hi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:

                                    1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
                                    2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
                                    3. I've checked voltages...

Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
