Hi,
Would you by any chance be able to tell me what might cause the red light not to go on anymore? Up until i changed the capacitors the red light would go on but the tv was intermittent, now it just doesn't light up anymore..Leave a comment:

I believe the problem was the 2 capacitors, i changed them and tv started working more regularly but looks like i de-soldered the old caps without the right tools so now the little spots where i am to solder the capacitor's legs are damaged it seems, i attached 2 pictures of the crappy soldering job i did, was wondering if there was a way to repair

I redid most of the solders and even put the board in the oven..yet no luck none of the capacitors look bad, and the coils seem ok as well...weird

Tv turns on fine sometimes...and it works flawlessly but other times it does not turn on at all, I don't have an oscilloscope unfortunately, i'm wondering if it could be bad caps that work intermittently?Leave a comment:

I noticed when i bend back and forth the board near the 110v in, Tv works fine...i redid the solder even popped it in the oven for 10min like we do in I.T. with laptop motherboards and still same issue, bend the board near the 110v in and it works, bend it some more and it doesn't..Leave a comment:

It's been about 20 years i graduated from electronics school but unfortunately i never worked in the field, went straight to I.T.
I tested the 2 diodes which are in parallel and the 110v input from the connectors on the PCB..I wiggle the PCB back and forth while off and the tv works, i wiggle it back some more and it stops..would be indicator of bad solder, but i redid most of them..
I can post pictures of the power supply back and front but nothing seems darkened or unusualLeave a comment:
