Would this problem be a bad panel? Sharp LCD

Trying to avoid what might be another Ebay disaster. Buyer is buying a mainboard (along with a tcon) to "fix" this problem. He says the lines are green in color, and other pictures he had show them being even darker. They look kind of random and all over the screen to me. Based on what I know, I thought this could maybe be a panel problem. As the main is kinda pricey, I don't want to send this to him, only to hear complaints or begging returns because a bad panel was the culprit. Thanks!

This does not look like a panel problem at all to me.

I have seen Double images due to bad tab bonding.

Something like this I would re-seat the cables, heating and cooling the board, flex the panel, etc.

          Not a panel issue IMHO.

Thanks for the input. I normally keep a "hands off" approach to any of my miscellaneous ebay activity, and almost never post about it on a forum like this. Mainly , because I have enough problems I need help with myself

Like I said, I'm just hoping the mainboard and/or the mainboard/TCON combo will fix this particular buyer's set ... because of how it is on the bay nowadays. You sell a TV part on there, and all of a sudden you are responsible for the part AND fixing the buyers set ... all for absolutely zero money ... and if things don't go right often abuse/hassle/cost on top of it.

              Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
              by perzyk23
              Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
              by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Crestron TPS-2000L with Sharp LQ5AW136R panel
              by Andrew453
I have numerous Creston TPS-2000L touchpanel home automation devices, which incorporate a Sharp LQ5AW136R panel. They all exhibit the same fault. They are about 10-15 years old.

The fault can be seen in the attached photo. Basically the displays are all washed out, to be point of being unreadable.

Clearly it's an issue with the panel. But my question is whether it's just aging related (e.g. all the pixels in the LCD wearing out) or whether it could actually be a more specific component (i.e. one capable of being individually replaced). I've seen suggestions on other...
