    Hisense H55U7B vertical stripes

    Hi all,

I have Hisense H55U7B TV with no picture, only big vertical stripes. I did several tests and I'm not sure, where is problem.

    1. Connected tcon to 12V, white, red, green, blue, black picture visible in cycle on full LCD without error
    2. Connected only left side of LCD to tcon, big stripes
    3. Connected only right side of tcon, visible normal picture on the right. Working as expected.

    Where could be problem?

    Tcon RSAG7.820.7932/ROH
    Main board RSAG7.820.8698/ROH

In this configuration of tcon was possible to view picture and use menu of TV. I will upload soc tomorrow. And one correction to previous test. When is connected tcon in this way and connect 12V, then RGB colours are switching normally and fast . White, red, green, blue, black. When I use second half of tcon then RGB is switching too, but slowly and lazy color change with some blurring colors together, but finally end on correct color.

this why i am interested on the Panel buffer boards side at yours post 2, you have there issue... but to know how SoC feeds LVDS we will know the / T-CON Panel function to analysis yours previous test

One SoC with GPU, so yours issue 100% at the Panel self, remove the metal cover of the bad side and inspect the buffer boards

I did it. Measure if there is something shorted, like capacitor or transistors, but all seeems ok.

A common problem with these TVS diode assemblies (they have breakdown or leakage of zener diodes).

Part Is littelfuse SP1064E-04UTG (marking 4264H) And I did measurement And looks in good shape. No Ohm shortage to ground. Carefully checked rest of components on driver and nothing found. IT could be defective tcon or it is not possible?

you need to put only the bad side at RGB test as you did before , and monitor the Temperature of the ESD diode or zener one.... they read fine. but they are not realy good, so Temprtaure will be rise

Yes, I tested it already and temperature is normal, like other components. May I try to replace tcon or it is 100% sure, that tcon is ok? Because half of display switching colors normally, bad half slowly and I cannot find anything bad at all.

I think they're trying to save money while trying to monetize by letting...I think first graders or chimps from the zoo, redesign the layout.

try to mask tape only the pins 1 & 2 far left of the bad side, between temperature rise up by time not immediately

                                          Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                                          Hey everyone,

I bought a MacBook A1990 with no screen. I bought it knowing the motherboard was defective but wasn't sure what the problem was until I received it. It actually turns on but as you see from the attachment, it has vertical stripes, on an external screen!!

The board is neat. Not opened before for sure. Just a little dust, nothing more.

Recovery using wifi can be opened, as can also be seen in the photo but it doesn't go all the way through after connecting it to a wifi. It downloads the initial Recovery files but never completes the rest of the...

Hi, TV boots with distorted image right side mirrored verticaly sometimes vertical stripes making off-on turns picture to normal and "perfect" (netflix image) that I highly doubt this is something related with t-con signal lines?? rather it looks software corruption bad mem chips voltage collapse or an intantaneous fault with fluctuating powerboard voltages?? As it happens usually when TV is cold sometimes fault comes back after a full day use should I check powerboard voltages with oscilloscope??

I'm working on my 27" RCA console TV built in 1990. It had some vertical rollover for a few months that went away after being powered on for a few minutes. I had been meaning to open it up and check it out but it had total vertical collapse before I could get to it.

Now that I have the time I opened it up and found a couple leaky capacitors around the vertical ic. So I figured the caps went bad and cooked the vertical IC.

I got the caps out and replacements on order. But when I took out the Vertical IC I saw that the chip numbers have been almost completely wiped...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
