anyway, Jimbo i never repaired a similar defect on a similar set {Local dimming type), my guess is that those two many pins QFP ic on the blue board are something like a specialized CLPD, with D/A and so on, with their own program inside, the program went bad (voltage transients etc) and they are no more able to drive the mosfets, you see the light again when shut down because of that long column of electrolitic caps still charged, i suggest you to try and find a replacement blue board..

Is it normal that the questioned person tells "don't listen to him, unresponsible man etc etc.."? How can a correct forum permit this? I feel not inferior to him tchnically.. one can sentence "that is error" or "that is error for me" , not prevaricate, i made the error myself in the past, reading totally wrong diagnosis i felt useful for the requester to let him to know that, not ruining a chance to fix a device.. only this.. everybody knows me personally thinks i'm good educated guy, only in the forums i am 'taken as a bully, punk etc..
