the last things disconnect the 4 ribbon cable between T-CON and Panel then turn on see the BL remain flashing... if yes keep them disconnected and take it apart.... tv will remain work with out screen unless you have stable BLComment

anyway, Jimbo i never repaired a similar defect on a similar set {Local dimming type), my guess is that those two many pins QFP ic on the blue board are something like a specialized CLPD, with D/A and so on, with their own program inside, the program went bad (voltage transients etc) and they are no more able to drive the mosfets, you see the light again when shut down because of that long column of electrolitic caps still charged, i suggest you to try and find a replacement blue board..

I am getting steady voltage at the BL_ON terminal. Do you still think it's a backlight problem?Comment

I can't find the datasheet. I'm going to order another power supply to see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't fix it I will assume there is a backlight problem. Thanks for your help. I will let you know if that fixes it.Comment

Is it normal that the questioned person tells "don't listen to him, unresponsible man etc etc.."? How can a correct forum permit this? I feel not inferior to him tchnically.. one can sentence "that is error" or "that is error for me" , not prevaricate, i made the error myself in the past, reading totally wrong diagnosis i felt useful for the requester to let him to know that, not ruining a chance to fix a device.. only this.. everybody knows me personally thinks i'm good educated guy, only in the forums i am 'taken as a bully, punk etc..Comment

I ordered and installed a power supply but that wasn't the problem. I dissassembled the tv to check the backlights. While checking the backlight strips with a LED backlight tester I found one backlight that wouldn't come on at first. After turning the tv on, all the backlights, including the one that wouldn't come on with the tester, came on and started flashing. These are 6 volt backlights. I checked the voltage at that one backlight and the voltage would climb to 12 volts +. So, I changed that one backlight with a new one and that fixed the problem. Thank you guys for all your help.Comment

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by sefosterI have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by EazyBoneAnother TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... -
