However, I don't have any panel power to speak of. Maybe 1V?

lotas that plug on the bottom right is the speaker left. There is the same plug on the other side for speaker right. I'll see what I can measure at that point you circled tomorrow morn.

Weird tv, who do you get help from, amazon since it's their os or tcl? amazon has a chat feature, not sure about tcl. Whenever I use a chat feature I do my damndest to keep them talking til it's fixed, if they act like they want to give up, I say I need this fixed boost me up the ladder. Sometimes you have to try the resets several times, maybe try turn tv on for a minute then just unplug it from power, then hold power button on tv while plugging in hold button til you see screen come on then let go, go for a minute, no joy, try less maybe just a 10 count or 15 then let go, play with the times like that. I can't really see any reason why this tv won't reset. Always hated fire devices because EVERY single time you turn it on it checks for updates and forces them, no choice in the matter, that's why I only bothered with one original fire tv box and one stick, some friends would buy about every one that came out.Last edited by nomoresonys; 08-17-2024, 08:27 PM.

this TV PSU always active. " r´thought it had only One Opto" because its Fire TV. I/O signal to drive the Panel depending on the one Soc and its firmware script. any damage at FW the Soc will be blind.
you have on MB the socket PW1 which i think its the key of supplying panel V. LVDS both had no sign of Panel V rail.
filter coil you thing it shorted from Photo its sitting on GND.
so let see the whole back of the set to follow Panel rail .

I am not convinced the panel is dead. I think it is that main board that's faulty.Last edited by CapLeaker; 08-18-2024, 06:31 AM.

you still have 5V USB VCC and first power _On in tact ... firmware flashing are the answer always no HW issue at my eyes.

These fire tvs are way too dependent on being online, what if someone just wanted to hook up an antenna and watch over the air non-compressed programs like the person in the LG thread, is it even possible without being online? I hate always having to fiddle around with something just to look at the news or whatever, I keep it simple. Adjust the tv to be dumb and use a smart streamer, from what I understand it doesn't wear out the eMMC chip as fast either.Last edited by nomoresonys; 08-18-2024, 07:13 AM.

here we are with tools
