TCL 65S450F no logo, bleeping sounds?

Got a brand spankin' new TCL 65S450F here. Plugged the TV in and it booted up and wanted a firmware update right away. O.k. I guess it did that or not... I got no forking clue. Came back in 10 mins later and the screen is black, backlights on. The Standby light is blinking and every 10 to 15 seconds makes bleeping noises. That's all she does. Tried a factory reset and that must work as I can adjust the volume of the bleeping and it returns to factory volume afterwards. Also tried big black button with the circle right button on the remote and no go.

EDIT: No bootloop the bleeping sounds come with ethernet connected.
Before I send it back... anyone has an idea is going on or anyone ran into a similar issue with this TV brand?

Finally this TV is fixed. Got a new main board, chucked that in, turned the TV on and SUCCESS!

Definitely send it back. The flashing from the led means it's looking for a internet connection (I know you said you Ethernet it) but generally happens to every TCL I get home, flashes until connected to Internet.

I have also had several TCLs give blank white screen, generally newer ones 2022 and above and it was always a panel short. I pick them up thinking backlights potentially but literally every one has a panel short. This TV doesn't bootloop, generally the Google ones only do. This is Roku right?

So yes, this brand does this now for some reason. TCL before like 2021 doesn't do this almost ever. With my limited experience that is, I think I've had 10 or so of these white screen TCLs. Some I could get tape method to work, most wouldn't even do that.

Several people I got them from had them replaced by warranty and then gave to me. So they are dying within 6 months.

Edit, the newer Hisense also does this.

i haven't had any experience with TCL. It's a brand that isn't much around in my neck of the woods. If it would have been me, I wouldn't have bought this piece of sh*t! CAD$500 for 65” what did he expect. So TCL sez send it back to Amazon. Amazon sez send it back to TCL. What a bunch of 🤡.

At first I thought it's in a boot loop, but no it isn't. The bleeping sounds are from the Ethernet cable plugged in, connecting every 10 to 15 seconds.
Shopjmmy has the 65S450G version main boards, but this one is an 65S450F version. On top of that there are v.1 and a v.2 of the G revision board. The layout is exact the same.
I think the flash went corrupt on it, but without a working dump, there is not much of a chance. I tried to DL firmware from Roku, but it wants some Roku and a serial number. The serial isn't t bad, but how do I get that darn Roku number, if that stupid thing doesn't want to turn on? . Frustrating.

Well that's f@#%ed up, maybe try to contact someone higher up the food chain at amazon, seems like they should make it right.

The wife works for Amazon, and I used to. They will take it back you just need to escalate it or talk to someone else because they will. Each time you connect to their service department you generally will get a different person. Just have them retry it because it obviously needs to go back.

I don't think replacing the main board will work.. that's my opinion because I've had a couple where I disc one ribbon from TCON, or if it was all in one and I'd get half a picture. Also, most of them had sound and responded to remote clicks and would hear beeps or whatever.

I never did replace a main board though. But tape method sometimes worked so I just called it panel a d moved on.

It is fuxed up all right. I am not getting too much involved with it. Some one higher up ordered this piece of sh*t and bypassed me, they can deal with it too. I just never seen something as poor made than this thing from the user manual that doesn't even tell you how to do a reset, to a TV that dies after it does a firmware upgrade by itself!

I don't think there is anything wrong with the panel. It's the firmware that's buggered. Very poor designed. Even how it's mounted to a wall mount. Good thing the TV doesn't weigh anything. I think it is so light, you take a tube of liquid nails and just glue it to the wall. Save the extra $$$ and no TV wall mount required!

                  EDIT:
I had to come back and edit this. There are further savings to be had! Skip the tube of liquid nails and put a couple of strips of double sided tape. It's good enough!

I would go for bubble gum. That reminded me of the time I used velcro for a 32 inch tv. A couple days later I hear the velcro letting loose, started for it but too late crashed to the floor shattered. Luckily it was just a storm tv that already had a line panel fault, I think the velcro would have been ok but I didn't use enough.

You probably already tried simple reset, unplug tv hold power button down if there is one for 30 seconds, wait a minute and try it. Bad firmware sounds very possible, It seems like nobody at tcl has a clue, selling a tv that immediately cries for a firmware update before people even have a chance to see if the latest update is a good one, I always try to research updates to see if the latest update is good and won't mess the tv up or rob it of any functionality like they pull sometimes.

I thought about that Velcro idea, but it's more expensive than the double sided sticky tape. Bubble gum, or double sided tape is about the same thing. lol. Yes, I did try that reset method and it does it, but still same thing. I left the TV unplugged yesterday when I left. I am going there again in the afternoon and plug it back in. I don't have any hopes for it, besides manually flashing it somehow.

Try doing a reset via recovery.
                            How to get into Recovery.
                            1. To do this, turn off the TV using the remote control, press and hold the power button (on the back right of the TV), after 7 seconds the white LED will start blinking quickly, release the button and wait another 20 seconds, recovery mode should load.
                            2. Unplug from the socket and hold down the button. Plug in. Do not release the button for 30-40 seconds. Naturally, no flash drives, the ports are empty.

You can not trust amazon ratings, they gave this one 4 1/2: https://www.amazon.com/TCL-65S450F-C...0C1HZX7M1?th=1

This TCL has the power button in the middle on the bottom. I tried your suggestion #1 , but I do not get to the fast blinking LED. Suggestion #2 I tried too, but the screen stays blank.
                                    The back lights are OK.

Today I plugged the TV in without any cables connected, just power. It did its every 10 second bleeping thing again.
Then I tried the blind factory reset through the menu: Home screen, Down Arrow 7 times, press O.k., Right Arrow 1 time, Down Arrow 7 times, press O.K., and then two more times press O.K. and the TV should factory reset. Now after this, the TV stopped bleeping every 10 seconds, but the black screen remains. I do not see anything but black light on. No OSD or anything.

I did notice that the optical output stays on with the back lights off?

Thanks for all the help guys... but:
                                      Here we go again... TCL?
click that link and go to the "order the required parts for tv parts click this link". Well... the 65S450F-CA isn't listed. This is a fireTV, not a roku. Off course there is nothing available. What a miserable service from TCL. I am gonna that TV soon. This thing belongs in to the .
                                      Keep any ideas coming!

Just too bad badcaps doesn't have more required emoji's for this thread. lol

It might be the main board then. I've had DOA fire tvs and main board was culprit. Didn't do blank white though.. did you try disconnecting each side of TCON ribbon to see half a picture or try tape just to see?

You probably already toggled thru the sources, maybe repair the remote but seems like it's working, did you see a recessed reset button on the back or side.
