I just just came back upstairs again and figured that one out, because the diode above it is -10V. So VGL popped right into my mind.
However, I don’t have any panel power to speak of. Maybe 1V?

yeah, that I know... it still shows that in the picture as I keep "recycling" it. lol Ignore that ribbon, it sits straight for a while now.
lotas that plug on the bottom right is the speaker left. There is the same plug on the other side for speaker right. I'll see what I can measure at that point you circled tomorrow morn.

Weird tv, who do you get help from, amazon since it's their os or tcl? amazon has a chat feature, not sure about tcl. Whenever I use a chat feature I do my damndest to keep them talking til it's fixed, if they act like they want to give up, I say I need this fixed boost me up the ladder. Sometimes you have to try the resets several times, maybe try turn tv on for a minute then just unplug it from power, then hold power button on tv while plugging in hold button til you see screen come on then let go, go for a minute, no joy, try less maybe just a 10 count or 15 then let go, play with the times like that. I can't really see any reason why this tv won't reset. Always hated fire devices because EVERY single time you turn it on it checks for updates and forces them, no choice in the matter, that's why I only bothered with one original fire tv box and one stick, some friends would buy about every one that came out.

this TV PSU always active. " r´thought it had only One Opto" because its Fire TV. I/O signal to drive the Panel depending on the one Soc and its firmware script. any damage at FW the Soc will be blind.
you have on MB the socket PW1 which i think its the key of supplying panel V. LVDS both had no sign of Panel V rail.
filter coil you thing it shorted from Photo its sitting on GND.
so let see the whole back of the set to follow Panel rail .Comment

Here we go. Went back to it for a bit this morning. I do have 12Vdc panel power on some places on the board, but nothing going to the screen. See pictures attached. The LVDS data lines has no signals either. PW1 is just going to the PSU.this TV PSU always active. " r´thought it had only One Opto" because its Fire TV. I am not convinced the panel is dead. I think it is that main board that’s faulty.Last edited by CapLeaker; 08-18-2024, 06:31 AM.Comment

yours Panel didn't need 12VCC... as i wrote before its ONE Soc. system design like the way on Mobile but with large screen .. I2C on this One Soc for Video / panel worked within the section of Kernel at Firmware... yours Kernel distributed much likely during update or et turned off and on again ..

you still have 5V USB VCC and first power _On in tact ... firmware flashing are the answer always no HW issue at my eyes.Comment

That sounds very likely, probably why it refuses to reset.

These fire tvs are way too dependent on being online, what if someone just wanted to hook up an antenna and watch over the air non-compressed programs like the person in the LG thread, is it even possible without being online? I hate always having to fiddle around with something just to look at the news or whatever, I keep it simple. Adjust the tv to be dumb and use a smart streamer, from what I understand it doesn't wear out the eMMC chip as fast either.Last edited by nomoresonys; 08-18-2024, 07:13 AM.Comment

no need to be online to receive antenna or cable or sat.... but the set should be activated first with user profileComment

Thanks for post 91. That was helpful to understand why there is no 12V going directly to the panel. Never thought of it that way. The Soc is an Amilogic. So now I am out of clue. The Mstar I know, but this Amilogic thing… nope.Comment

I didn’t get that far. I turned it on and worked, Connected cables to it including Ethernet. Then it said new firmware found and it did its thing. So I left the room for 10mins. Came back and found the TV in this state, Nobody touched it in between.Comment

you are lucky as the Soc Amlogic.. it had bootloader section on it which we can trick it with PC..connect yours TV with male to male USB with PC let see how the PC show

by conghuymsHey everyone,
I’ve got a MacBook Air A2179 that got some water damage through the keyboard. Now it powers on, shows the Apple logo, but just stays stuck there — no startup chime, no keyboard backlight, and no progress bar under the Apple logo.
When I try to boot into Internet Recovery (Option + Command + R), the mouse cursor is extremely slow and laggy — like when I lift my finger off the trackpad, the cursor keeps drifting slowly for a second or two.
I opened it up and found some corrosion around the LED driver IC area on the logic board. I cleaned... -

by smartyCan anyone identify logo shown below?
The logo I showed can be found on the PCB's of laptops NP530U3B, NP530U3C, NP540U3B, NP540U3C, etc.
I assume this is a logo of one of the PCB's manufacturers, but I'm not sure.
Neither ChatGPT nor Copilot know the correct answer.
