Lenovo T480s, what's up with this Bios, modded boot logo, reflashed now bricked

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.

2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.

The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but it's now still bricked with a single power light flash & blank screen/no fans.

I'm no expert at doing this but am I missing something? Could anyone please suggest what is happening or a fix/workaround?
