Unless we find the right FW for that board, I think the TV will never run like it supposed to. At the same time I would like for the screen to come on and just display “something” to verify the panel is good. The brains work, but there is absolutely sweet diddly squat on the LVDS. I may have a little time to work on that thing today. If all measures fail, I need a new board to continue .
Arrrgh! I broke the slider nut on my metal lathe! Come on! Apart it goes. Dayum. I still have to shorten 8 out of ten wheel bolts for my car and get about 1/8” machined off.
Canada shopping sucks so bad. I get things directly from China sometimes within 4-5 days lol. Did I mention I'm banned from Canada for life. Oh well
problem with Canada is that we are taxed to death. Duty for this, tax for that, then you need a broker... another fee. A lot of times if we Canadians buy from the states, by the end everything is said and done, it costs double what the price actually was. Lithium batteries are the worst. Go to Mouser, Digikey, Allied etc. None ship those little lithium batteries to Canada. I tried once with Allied 6 years or more, and the shipping was a whopping US$80! For a coin cell battery with tabs on it! All because it had to go UPS ground and special shipping etc. It's nuts.
China stuff isn't cheap here anymore either. Our government did really great the last 9 years making sure every Canadian is getting hoodwinked.

Well thats majorly effed up, looks like we're not the ONLY country that needs a revolution. We still get cheap shiit from china but is it worth it, they burn a shit-ton of coal each year, that they admit to, each year to make it, it's choking the planet and people to death. Those people are so strange, if they all die from black lung...who's going to be left to spend all that money

simple… Canada’s problem is protectionism. There is so much red tape one way and the total disregard and or the lack of the other. Government setting the cart in front of the horse, throw shit at the walls and see what sticks. Deal with the fall out later.

I’ve got a MacBook Air A2179 that got some water damage through the keyboard. Now it powers on, shows the Apple logo, but just stays stuck there — no startup chime, no keyboard backlight, and no progress bar under the Apple logo.
When I try to boot into Internet Recovery (Option + Command + R), the mouse cursor is extremely slow and laggy — like when I lift my finger off the trackpad, the cursor keeps drifting slowly for a second or two.
I opened it up and found some corrosion around the LED driver IC area on the logic board. I cleaned...
