Have you tried it since removing the roaches? the pic of your "cable box" looks like you snapped off the rg6 connection taking it apart? Could it perhaps be the main board of your tv? The area of discoloration on the power board appears to be the high voltage caps on the primary side, and yes a short in this area will cause major malfunctions. However the rest of it appears unharmed, you will need a multimeter to test further. Since you found "a" roach chances are there are more in the set, you will want to disassemble and clean the whole thing. Be very very very careful with the ribbon cables, one slip and your tv will be visiting the landfill.

The discolored spot on the power board is right under two transistors ..

Light is always green, never red?

Sorry I didnt notice the area thats fried is actually mosfets or diodes. You can test the mosfets for shorts with your MM in ohms mode there should be a minimum of several kohms between all the legs. Service manual can be found HERE Put up pictures of top and bottom of power board from shopjimmyand main board You should also test the connectors where voltages are labeled and see if those voltages are present or not.

According to the service manual on page 62 the two blinks followed by one blink is an indicator of 10v detection error.

I thought the original poster said one blink followed by two.

Yes he did...according to the sm 1 blink is lamp error and only lamp error (no additional blinks), since it is alternating between 1 and 2 which is power error (2 blinks) and 10v error 1 additional blink I was gambling the initial blink is the relay from the main engaging after which it kicks to 2..1..2..1 its totally possible Im wrong, and as I dont have the set in front of me to tinker with we wont know until we get voltage readings from the connectors. Also I suppose its possible it giving 1 blink lamp error then 2 blinks power error followed by the 1 blink 10v error, but seeing as how there was a roach under the power board Im betting on 10v error....sorry for my long winded digression hopefully we havent totally confused the OP.

That would seem to imply that you do have an inverter failure or possibly bad CFLs. Budm has several threads on testing inverters using a cfl lightbulb if you want to search for those threads. That way you could isolate it to the inverter or bulbs.

Do you have good clear pictures of the inverter board and the whole back side of the TV?

thx for reply , dont have pic now but right now iam pretty sure its a lamp ...

If the green power light keeps flashing on and off every second and tv will not power on unplug the tv for 5 minutes, then try this. Keep holding the VOL+ and CH- buttons down while you plug the tv cord back into the wall ac outlet till you get sound and picture for a second or two. You should be able to turn the tv on and off with the power button now. Next turn the power button off and unplug the tv for a few seconds and then plug it back in and turn the power button back on. Watch the screen and see if the sound and picture comes on, best to check in a dark room to see better, if sound stays on and picture comes on a few seconds and back off you have a bad CCFL backlight lamp in the LCD panel.

i just try that step by step and exactly whats happening to my tv so i will check those lamps and we will see ...

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

sound card dead after graphics card installation

Hi guys.I own Z690 F Strix board in one of my PCs....everything was working fine with integrated graphics card.I turned off power from it, installed graphics card from another PC, connected all the peripheral cables, optical sound cable of course when everything was switched off. Then I powered on the machine and integrated soundcard is dead. How did this manage to happen and if there is a way to diagnose and replace damaged component?
The new pci-e soundcard costs here 80 euros which is half of money I spent on motherboard.
I still can not believe that I am such a looser and don't know...

Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights

I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

                                          Does...

                                          Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

My 12y old daughters tv (that she got after her grandpa, has sentimental value to her) was just dead without stby light a couple of weeks ago.

I´ve repaired a couple of computer monitors, classic blown capacitor replacements, a 55" Sammy led with t-connboard replacement and a 42" Panasonic edge led where I replaced the led-strip.

Not a master with the multimeter, which is cheap and 10-15year old btw...

                                          So please make it basic...

                                          To the issue at hand.

As stated, the tv is totally dead with no standby light....
