Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights

I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

Does anyone know what could be the problem? I slightly proficient with electronics(scope and multimeter and can take measurements) and I'm happy to take a gamble and try purchasing replacement parts off ebay. but not sure what part to get. Based on the problem im describing, does anyone know if I should try getting a LED driver board/t-con board, or main board? I assume that the power supply must be fine because the backlights still all work. Do I need to get an exact matching t-con board? or main board? ie, can I use a 55 inch X950g board in my 75 inch? or can use a t-con board from a x950h? what about if im getting a main board instead of a t-con board, can I mix and match any of these? I have tried googling my issue but I have not found another case like this, everyone seems to get blinking red lights, but my problem seems different...

Generally on Sony's a main board for a 55/65/75/85 will work for each other. But not mis matching model numbers so a 850g and h wont be interchangeable (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) but for the TCON generally you need the exact board for it. I haven't compared if a 55/65/75 etc are different for a TCON board are different.

A great way to check what's compatible is go to shopjimmy.com and type in your tv or board and it will show you which boards will go to which TV that's the easiest most reliable way to do that.

Now for your situation, I can't answer that because I generally don't get to watch the screens go bad, I just get them after they are bad. Maybe someone here can give you better guidance there.
