Has to be scrapped from same motherboard or mannufacturer (MSI)?
-
Okay, so I am probably missing 3.5 mm stereo hedphone jack inside I guess.
Can it be replaced?
Is it universal for all laptops or I need to search for this specific MSI one and solder with technician guy?

replacement adapter for MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RE
Hi guys.I purchased this used laptop, but I did not get genuine adapter which should come with it (19.5V, 11.8 A).Instead I got the one from pics below.
Could the replacement adapter in any means, limit the performance of the laptop, either the CPU or GPU not boosting to it's highest clocks, or anything else?
I got variant with GTX 1060 Mobile.

3.5 mm headphone jack missing
Hi guys,
I purchased used MSI GE 73 Raider laptop used from a guy. When laptop came home I noticed that there is no "golden circle connector" on the headphoner jack (pic below).
I contacted the seller, he told me like it was there and it probably fell off.
I am not dumb, is he lying to me or it is possible that in the shipping it really fell off?
Oer laptop is missing whole connector.
The headphone jack works normally,I have tested it with headphones....

I found picture that I took immediately after graphics card installation,so I figured out I will post it here, if anyone can find something interesting that could be the cause of onboard sound card failure.
What am I particulary interested is region marked with red, now I am not so sure but what if it is possible there that graphics card touched the motherboard, componens there?
There is mosfet driver there and some caps.
I can picture that region too....

I contacted once again the repair guy but he was very rude to me and I quote what he wrote:
"I charge for close examination with price, which is over price the price you bought the card (which was 15 euros).I can replace the capacitor, but if then again card does not work it is because the damaged chip which led to blown cap, you loose money for paying me my work and I loose spare last cap, and you end up back to begining".
You people don't know, the chips from ebay are sent to Bosnia at silly price which is usually 5-10 times more cost then the priced of the chip, and we wait...Last edited by paparazzo79; 08-16-2024, 11:25 AM.

I took it to local repair guy he cleanee the green chip with contact spray...he tried to find caps with same rating but he only found one. Then he measured both "suspicious" caps wiith some unit like tweezers claiming both are okay.
Then he told me go home and try the card.
I put it in 2 different PCs no luck, I get a freeze just before login screen at Windows splash logo.

may i clean the chip with 70% isopropyl?
I don't have these caps,I will take the card to a guy who repairs laptops, but since this thing is cheap I am 99 % sure he won't take it for a repair....Last edited by paparazzo79; 08-14-2024, 05:06 AM.
