    Re: Factory Resets Listing

This is great info, but would you know what to do if the remote control is not functioning? I was told to reset to factory defaults using this method to get my IR receiver to see my remote again. Without a remote I cannot currently enter any numbers thus I am stuck. Thoughts? Thanks much for all the help.

I hope some may find this information useful

    **** WARNING!!!! ******

Some of these procedures may allow you to enter factory service modes. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, DO NOT MAKE CHANGES TO SETTINGS IN FACTORY MODES!! Improper settings may cause undesired operation, and could result in a situation where your TV cannot boot/turn on.

YOU ARE USING THESE PROCEDURES AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

    Factory Resets / modes

For all listed procedures, start with TV on, in TV mode, unless otherwise instructed. After procedure is complete, unplug set and re-plug in to finish reset.

If more than one procedure is listed for a given manufacturer, try the different ones until you see which one works for your set.

    Re: Factory Resets Listing

Does anyone know the factory reset sequence for a LG 60PS80-UA plasma? I can get into service mode by pressing the menu button on the TV and the remote simultaneously for a few seconds and then entering 0000 as the PIN.

Among the many options there, I can't find any that seem to be a factory reset.

    Thanks for any input!

    God bless you,

Factory Reset of Dynex DX-55L150A11 issues

Thanks to this great forum and thread, I was able to access the service menu of a Dynex DX-55L150A11 and make the necessary changes. The issue I'm having now is that the set requests me to select language preference, picture mode and signal input every time the set is turned on. I'd appreciate any suggestions to alleviate this issue. Thanks

    Drocker,

To me sounds like a bad capacitor on the power supply board. Access the power supply board and check for bulge capacitors.

Also, there is a thread for the specific TV you have, any other questions pertaining to that TV, please use that thread to ask questions.

    Thanks

Hi guys, 2nd post so be gentle. I have a Sharp LC-70LE732u that I believe had lightning damage this past weekend though no burnt smell and I don't believe it let the magic smoke out. I went through Sharp and tried their reset, holding the Volume up and Channel down then plugging in but it still won't power up. Could it be in an artificial standby mode? I havn't tried the other reset but will when I get home but I've taken the back of and could not verify any visual damage. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a pain to load up and carry in for service being so large.
    Thanks, Tim

    Olevia 227_s11

This probably won't help most people but just in case it helps someone.

If you have a JP1 Remote control I found that EFC code 034 got me into the
service menu of my olevia tv.

I had no remote that worked for this tv and with the help of

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums I was able to find a code that partially
    worked for it.

I then punched in all EFC's and found out what they did and efc 034 got me
    service menu (see pic)
For those that do not know what a jp1 remote is they are the one's with
the six pins in the battery compartment to plug in to computer and program it
    Hope this helps someone

Hold MENU on TV and MENU on remote for 5~10 seconds, then select reset option.

While powering on hold "MENU" or "INPUT" on TV, depending on model. (Only disables error lock out/buffer and puts TV in temporary service mode.)

So i got this tv from my neighbor, when it wasn't working right for him,, he purchased another tv and gave his old to me.
the color is all outa wack, like the settings have been corupted,
I've already done a firmware search using the wifi connection update from the tv and it didn't find any new update so it's got the most recent version.

    so
The issue is i can't get into service mode or factory mode, tried resetiing it from user mode and it didn't change anything.
when i bring up the menu and type the pass codes to access either mode the menu disappears...

Thanks to Diah, got M557-G0 LCD panel buffer board repaired and running ( link ) Next challenge is no WiFi/Bt despite module on the main board and getting 3.3v supply (3.45v measured)
    • TV Menu shows Network Access Point option (enet unplugged) but menu can't select that entry
    • Service Menu shows many Bt/Wifi info missing
    • Vizio app shows no WIFIVendor file
Prior owner used enet and said turned off wifi somehow. It seems system config info for wifi might be missing. Anyone experienced this before?

back in this last december i lost my svp for my thinkpad, then i found this technique and it worked successfully.

the only thing i found weird was that now in the bios menu, specifically under the secure boot configuration in the security tab, it went from mentioning microsoft windows 10 to now showing microsoft windows 8 when i scroll over the restore factory keys option.
and im wondering if my current problem is due to the flash/patch ive done:

    Hello,

So I was referred here when I made this poste over on AVForums: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/loc...lg-tv.3257234/

To summarize, this is a commercial TV and I can't get a menu of any kind. I know the overlay is working because when I change channel, adjust volume, turn on sleep timer I do see text. But I have not ever seen the user menu nor the installers menu. I've tried a bunch of remotes(more info on the AVF post) and tried every button...
